Thank you.

In my opinion, Zubac is not playing for a spot with the Lakers. He is playing as part of the process to get in shape for the regular season. Perhaps it is just me.....but summer/pick up games really are for rookies to get their feet wet with NBA play. These games are also for and other players not drafter to showcase what they can do in hopes to get a contract. These are the guys that will play with intensity.

He played with a lot more intensity last year....because he wanted to make the team.

Zubac conditioning is definitely not in regular season form......and he is playing like....this is just another pick up game.

I disagree with your perception of summer league games. If you belong to NBA then you should be killing in the summer league, because the competition is in a lower level. Not being able to dominate in summer league then you have no business getting regular playing time in the regular season.

Most of these players are NOT NBA players !!! These are the players that need to prove something. Zubac already got a NBA contract, so does Ingram so does Lonzo.

You are confusing summer league to pre-season games......where the final roster is determined.

What you said do not make any sense, all these 1st round picks already have their first few years guaranteed, does that mean no first round pick should be playing?? I understand a lot of these guys are playing for contract, but some of the guys need the experience to get better as well, this is where Zubac fits, he needs to get better but he is playing like garbage.

I do not think Zubac is playing garbage. He is not playing MVP quality basketball for summer league basketball....but garbage ?

Fans have this 'mold' that certain players need to fit into. If Zubac does not fit into this 'mold', the good plays he does on the court....totally ignored. Instead you focus on the stuff you want him to do.

The Zubac I am watching blocks shots, alters shots, makes key baskets.......

Of course he can be better...but ease up a bit.....this is just the start of the NBA season......this is Practice and conditioning for players that already got contracts.

Look at the list of summer league MVPS in the last few years.....lots of them are no longer in the league....in fact some of them never played in the NBA....

It's ok to think someone is playing garbage basketball and still be high on them.

This is because you only see what you want to see. Through 4 games he has 3 blocks; i'm not sure what blocks you're referring. He's averaging 10 points on decent efficiency, 2.3 rpg, .5 apg, .8 bpg,, and 10 turnover. Again, if you only look at the points then he's not too bad. Considering that you watched the games, you should know that most of his points were freebies (assisted) at the rim. If you watch objectively, you will see that Zubac clearly looks worse.

Of course he can be better...but ease up a bit.....this is just the start of the NBA season......this is Practice and conditioning for players that already got contracts.

I'm not sure why you keep mentioning this nonsense about players who already have contracts. These guys should all be hungry (at every level) as it is very early in their careers. Granted, Zubac is known to be a very hard worker. However, treating summer league games like they're only for practice and conditioning is a terrible approach. Zubac was a fringe rotation player last year; I would hope he would want to impress the coaches rather than use summer league games as practice.

Calling someone garbage and still high on them ---- not if this is mentioned every game !!
Block Shots ---- How many shots had he altered ?
Playing condition --- LOL.....Summer League is PRACTICE and Conditoning. Stop hyphing these 'pick-up' games as anything higher than just exhibition games !!!

There is no stats that said he altered tons of shots neither, I watched every game they played in this summer and last summer, he clearly looked worse this summer comparing to last one. I didn't expect him to dominate like shaq, but he should have shown improvements from last season and he actually looked worse. You can defend him all you want but stats shown that he played like garbage.

Well you ain't going to see 'altered shot' in the stat sheets. You watched the games yet you never saw him alter shots....ok.

its fair to say what zu looked so far in these 5 games is what he was supposed to look like his FIRST year. what we saw from his first year blew us away so now we have higher expectations. everyone keeps saying "its SL" all that means is thirsty players playing their asses off for money. anyways...we expected improvements and got disappointed.

Where did I say he didn't alter any shots?? I am just saying what you said wasn't true because he didn't alter a ton of shots. I am sure he altered a few here and there, but it's not like he is shutting down the paint because our defense wasn't even good. He got blocked and striped so many times to the point it's frustrating watching him on offense. Ball set him up so nicely so many times, and he blew so many chances. Only thing good about him is that his hands are good because he catches the ball well, but other than that he really sucks this summer comparing to the last.
