What you're seeing is the difference between Woj, Broussard, etc, and some numbnuts like this dude.

Melo may still end up in Houston, but it's hardly a foregone conclusion. You kill all of your credibility guaranteeing things from second and third hand people who have no control.

You know who Woj's sources are? The GMs themselves or their assistants who are in the room with them.

He was already fully committed to leaving. No trade is not only blue balling us it's for Melo as well. I'm sure he's been hanging out with Harden and CP3 thinking it was a done deal.

Still feel confident melo is gone. What we saw yesterday was a power move by the knicks. Everyone was writing us off as having no leverage but we showed we still hold all the cards. Either melo will open up the ntc to more teams and allow us to get better offers or he will stay on this team for a year and opt out. We also just sent a notice to the cavs that if they want melo they need to include love, and if the rockets want melo they aren't getting him for Ryan Anderson. Ariza and Gordon need to be in play.

Good move by the knicks. I bet rockets put Gordon and ariza on the table now that they see a Ryan Anderson steal is not possible

if i am the knicks i make melo suffer and make him stay year and basically tell him we are not going to get crap in return for you either you expand your list or you stay and you can leave in summer off 2018 if you wand and opt out and we will get 30 million in cap space.

Hypothetically, if Melo were to expand his list, what other destinations do you think would enter the running? Regardless of whether or not they have the pieces to give us (and it appears they are lacking), the Rockets and Cavs do seem like the most logical landing spots. But I wonder who else might want him if he were willing to go there...
