Part of the Knicks strategy should be to get Anthony to loosen that NTC so that they can explore more scenarios.
Otherwise, welcome back. It feels like you never left.

Let's bring Tim Frazier in. Can probably get him for next to nothing. Perfect stop gap PG. young, cheap, pass first, smart kid. Son of Clyde as well.
The Wizards already did.

Either melo will open up the ntc to more teams and allow us to get better offers or he will stay on this team for a year and opt out. We also just sent a notice to the cavs that if they want melo they need to include love, and if the rockets want melo they aren't getting him for Ryan Anderson. Ariza and Gordon need to be in play.
Good move by the knicks. I bet rockets put Gordon and ariza on the table now that they see a Ryan Anderson steal is not possible
Yeah, now we have some leverage. Melo for sure wants out, unless he wants to be on a lotto team that is gonna be playing youngins. That said, I don't see Melo agreeing to any other teams, except those with a chance - GS, Cleveland and Houston.
Nothing personal Melo, Houston or Cleveland, but paybacks are a ...

Got traded for #53 pick wow.
We could've had him instead of OJ, who probably will never play for us. Hoodwinked once again.

Tim Frazier had a couple of triple doubles this season. Phil was never interested.

Anyone want to bring me up to speed on what's happened in the first 30 pages of this thread (and the end of the last one)? I'm assuming more of nothing with people saying don't take Anderson, others saying it's all a ploy, something about Phil, something about Dolan, etc?

We literally hype ourselves over things like "Knicks are looking at...Knicks are close on...Knicks thinking about". Almost 30 plus pages wasted there.
No one can deny the Knicks fans are the most avid fans in the NBA. RealGM talk.

Yet he would STILL be the best PG this franchise has had in a decade
If you somehow can get him back to MIL Knight, it could be a decent pairing next to Frank. He can run the point, but he's better as a secondary ball handler.
The problem is he looks for his own shot more than to create for others. We just had someone like that here and it was dumpster fire. At least he can shoot (in theory).
His numbers in MIL the season he got traded
17.8 PPG 4.3 RPG 5.4 APG 1.6 SPG
44% FG 41% 3PT 88% FT
Let him and THJ gun off the bench. We still need a better starter next to Frank. Should of been Mitchell!
stop trying to make brandon knight happen
Who's trying to make it happen? I didn't bring it up. I'm talking about a player that was brought up in the thread.

I didn't know that the new stupid GM is considering keeping this bum. All it means is that I can torture you for another year.

Knight is an inefficient SG, not a PG.

to recap..
- Melo thought it was done
- 4 team deal parameters are in place
- only "minor" details to be finalized
- 2 close to the situation still thinks it gets done

The victim card is currently being played by Carmelo's side.
He's excited to have a chance at a championship with the Rockets, and now the Knicks have put a pause on trade conversations.

Re: The MeloPause Trade Thread
Either Mills is dumb enough to think Melo will help make us the 8th seed or Morey is offering crap as always and he's holding out for a better offer. Neither would surprise me.
Trust but verify.
