I was sour on Mike James in game 1, but I had a hard time being mad at him yesterday. He was making shots. If Bender could have had an average night from downtown, we would have been in good shape. I look forward to him getting consistent with that 3!

JJ was kind enough to fade into the background on offense, despite being the most talented player on the floor. But he was not nearly as spry or aggressive on the defensive end as he was the previous game.

I say we give the ball to JJ next game to show what he can do.

Did you see that somewhere or are you asking?
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

I think by far Chriss' stock took a considerable dive this summer, while Bender's stock improved considerably. I am not saying Chriss will lose the starting PF spot, but that role is by no means a lock for him. Unless he gets in shape quickly, hustles and improves from his performance this summer, I can see Bender earning considerable minutes at the 4/5 and eventually earning the starting 4 spot.

Of course Bender and Chriss will spend a lot of time together on the floor, but at least against Summer League talent Bender showed he had a much better skill set than Chriss.

I'm going to be patient with Marqueese. He seems like a good kid. McD said he was just growing into his body, and it turns out, he has Rodney Rogers' body. Maybe he just needs to learn how to use it. The evidence of 3 summer league games cannot weigh more heavily than the potential he showed during the season. I hope he returns in October much improved.

I dont think Chriss has Rodney Rogers body... I see more like Markieff Morris... but with thicker arms... he put on over 15 pounds of muscle in a few months so that can affect his game style... what ticks me off is his IQ.... he needs to be disciplined and taught.... but you need a hard-azz coach to get through to some players.

The only way Chriss's attitude changes is if our young guys puts it in his head to change. A whole team mentality thing. Coaches wont be able to get through to him.

I'm worried it wont get better though.

Hope Davon Reed gets 15 minutes in the rotation, ready made 3&D skillset.

All our other wings are still waiting to fix something.
