2017-2018 Brooklyn Nets Season Win Total Predictions

Although the roster is still subject to change, I think it's close enough to ready that we can stop the arm-chair playmaking and weekend warrior jousting and put your +1s where your mouth is. The winner will get a binder full of +1s at season's end.

Rules:

- Enter your season win total prediction on this thread. You can change your prediction as many times as you want before the season starts but your last prediction before the start of the season will be the one that counts.

- If you waffle by providing a range of wins (e.g., "Anywhere from 15-30 wins), I will used the average and round up (e.g, 22.5 = 23 wins).

- If you equivocate with a lot of jibber jabber but don't provide a definitive number or range, you will not be included.

Using a baseline of 30 wins last year if Lin is healthy:

+ 4 wins for replacing Foye/Bogs with Russell
+ 4 wins for replacing RHJ/Harris at SF with Levert/Carroll
+ 2 wins for replacing Booker/RHJ at PF with RHJ/Carroll/Booker
-4 wins for replacing Lopez/Hamilton with Mozgov/Allen/Nicholson/Booker
+ 4 wins for team synergy and overall improvement

Overall prediction 40 wins

36 wins assuming good health (IE Lin, DLo, Mozgov dont go down with serious 30+ game injury, yes i did put Mozgov, the's THAT important to this team now)

My prediction is for the team as is and is subject to change with further additions. However, even adding someone i like (JaMychal Green) i prolly still wouldnt adjust my prediction. Needs a major incoming piece like a Love/Melo/Aldridge for me to shift it up more.

Also i suggest people put their last year predictions too. It'll be a good barometer on how we do on our guesses.

Last year my prediction was 32 wins.

32 wins. But if the east turns out to be really bad, I think we push 40.

Not much basis at the moment just gut feel may moderate target once our roster is confirmed but I am hoping the Nets get 41 wins

30 wins. I'm hoping to increase this number as I get to know the new players better but Brook and to a lesser extent Hamilton are significant losses.

Sticking by my 30-32 wins number from last season. I'm still dumbfounded by the injuries Lin experienced last season and then the concussion to Whitehead, Vasquez undergoing surgery. We are certainly a lot more deeper at PG this season.

31-51. Fairly confident its +/- 3 wins. The nets are one of the easiest teams to project In the NBA in my opinion.

A relatively solid rotation with no top end guys almost always spells ~30 wins

18 wins, loss of Lopez will hurt a lot, and assuming Russell starts for a good portion of the season, we will get killed on the perimeter. I like our bench unit though so hopefully I'll be surprised and we hit the 20's

Depends on Lin's health. I had 27 wins last season and I think we could have definitely won 30 games if Lin had stayed healthy. Now there are also factors like Mozgov and Carroll, they could be surprisingly better than expected or worse. It still remains to be seen where Russell can be a net positive on the floor. Loss of Brook Lopez will hurt a lot and we'll struggle to find scoring on this roster. OTOH, added experience for Levert, Whitehead, RHJ, Dinwiddie should make them have better seasons.

I'm gonna go with 24 wins.

I thought we were going to surprise people last year, and if lin did not get hurt, I think we would have.

We upgraded on talent and Russell will make an impact. So give me 36 wins.
