Why not sir? Redundancy?

Doncic is legit though from what I've seen.

He does, my only worry is his athleticism. He's a 2 foot jumper and not overly quick. More crafty, but seems to have a tremendous feel for the game in all aspects. Can run a PnR pretty well, I wonder if he doesn't end up as a PG in the future?

Luka is an amazing offensive prospect but he's not a great fit here. You could say the same for Porter.

I'm getting ahead of myself but hypothetically we're picking third and Bagley/Ayton are gone you could get a haul for that pick.

So far...any of Bamba, Doncic or Porter are good for me. No Ayton though after doing my personality/mindset research i'm not a fan...lol

I think Bamba is exactly what the Suns need. Elite defensive player that shoots 70% from the line. You can keep him on the floor late in games.

9'6" standing reach. :o

I'd rather wait for Bol Bol next year.

I don't think we're tanking for two more years. Bol will playing for a team in AZ next year, though. ;)

He's actually a fairly good one foot jumper, usually shows it in transition/open court situations.

Quickness-wise, for a guy who's 6'7 or 6'8 230 with an 8'9.5" standing reach he's just fine. Big wing size and as he gets older/keeps improving physically with P3 he'll be playing the 4 in smallball lineups. Being a primary ballhandler for Real at that size, usually guarded by smaller, quicker players means there's a boatload of footage of him struggling to get by his man. Context is important.

Obviously not elite at the NBA level but he's not remotely close to being a non-athlete. He just gets his footwork/timing wrong quite often (taking off too early, taking off on wrong foot) when headed to the rim in the half court, like he panics a bit and fades from the impending contact. Getting more comfortable with the eurostep would help a lot.

Also I wonder how much additional court space/NBA defensive rules would help. Defenders are allowed to body ballhandlers more aggressively in the ACB/Euroleague etc and at times Doncic looks like the boy he is.

Positionally he can be a PG in the way that Ben Simmons will be, primary ballhandler but won't be guarding POA. Bonus with Doncic that you don't get with Simmons, he actually has off-ball value (spot up, off-screen, cutting) so he won't need the ball in his hands at all times.

Fit-wise for the Suns it's not ideal as you guys need a big in a bad way.

yeah, neither did I, recently found out from a description on a P3 Instagram post

He doesn't look it, but I guess P3 would know better than anyone since they have measured him and are training him.

Wonder if we're doing any stealth recruitment on Bagley.

We can tell him we're going to be a developing team this year likely to get a top pick to keep him in Arizona for his NBA career, the year after we can't guarantee that'll be a priority.

I'd be happy with either with the Miami pick, but I don't see any way I would draft either ahead of the current top 4 (Porter, Doncic, Ayton, Bamba). We should be embracing positionless basketball and versatility, so I don't see the point in drafting for position with those 4 at the top. Bender and Jackson provide some good versatility that should allow us to fit any of these guys in the lineup. Booker potentially too if he develops his passing/setup skills and embraces more of a Harden-type role.

An athlete like Diallo would also be appealing in the Miami-pick area. Great draft to have 2 picks imo.

Don't see much star potential in Duval or Sexton but it's pre-season and things can change.

Sexton is pretty good. I think he'll surprise a lot of people in Alabama.

It's hard to judge these guys without seeing them play against top competition for more than 3 games but... Bamba kinda looks like a Hasheem Thabeet to me. Besides his wingspan there isn't one thing I like about his game. Soft, low motor, can't finish against size.

Doncic is the real deal IMO. One of the best prospects since LeBron.

Ayton has the body to bully his way into the rim and still finish after contact, Bamba looks like a defensive specialists mainly... but Ayton can be an offensive weapon... he also has a long range shot in him and his body solid and would punish smaller players guarding him and drive pass slower players. As their exaggerated projections imply... Ayton = Admiral, Bamba = Camby....

So Bagley may enter the draft but not play college?

Bagley, Ayton, Bamba, Porter, Doncic seems like a pretty solid top 5.
