What do you most wanna see from this team this year?

Post#1 » by The Real Dalic » Sun Jul 16, 2017 9:20 pm

I wanna see a Payton led team from the get go, ride or die with Payton. I know some will disagree with that, but he's shown great flashes as the focal point of the offense, the team clearly benefits from him being more aggressive and we are always in games when he decides to assert himself early. I think it's time to let him do his thing.

I would also really like to see our team chemistry get better and less buddy ball or passing guys up that they don't trust, if our players don't trust each other, then we've already lost.

Those are the two things I wanna see most. How about you guys?

Two birds with one stone. Put the ball in Payton's hands, so he can drive or dish and doesn't have to play off ball. Take the ball out of Fournier's hands, so he can end plays where he shines and not have to start them where he is a disaster. Basically, play to these guys' strengths not their weaknesses. Only reason we saw this happen late last year was because Fournier got injured... Vogel better have learned his lesson.

I want to see an actual team, our young guys given a chance and show big growth that takes up to the playoffs and gives us belief in the future. I'd love AG to be an all-star or all-star candidate, Payton to be considered a strong starting PG and be our long term PG, and Mario to show he belongs here and in the NBA and can be a starter. I want Isaac to grow and be a certified stud, and Fournier, Ross, Simmons, and Vucevic be strong role players.

I really believe if all of our guys did that and eventually met their potential we have a contending team

I would like to see if we can beat both the Warriors and the Cavs.

Development of Isaac. Jonathon Simmons progress. Elfrid taking control like he did post-asb. Mario making some semblance of progress. AG getting his shooting and rebounding numbers up. Fournier and Vucevic traded for a washing machine.

Bingo. Put the ball in Payton's hands, run, have an actual bench, let Fournier do what he does best, let AG rock at PF, make Vuc shoot more threes. Give Isaac good minutes.

Not that complicated.

A viable nba product. A team that's fun to watch. Mario to play like he belongs.

It's really not that complicated, but NBA coaches like to make it complicated.

I forgot to add that I want us to actually treat our lottery pick like a lottery pick and give him more time and development and run a couple of plays for him for once. Isaac was deemed good enough to be a top 3 pick in any other draft if it wasn't as top heavy as this one was, I think we should run the ball through him for a couple of stretches and see what happens.

I want to see Payton and Gordon as #1 and #2 in MPG and total minutes played, and I want to see Hezonja and Isaac with a consistent role in the rotation, no DNP-CD's.

Other than that, I'll be pleased to watch Vogel do this thing.

Heart. Competitiveness. That break out from EP and AG we've been waiting for. Same for Mario. Improved coaching from Vogel & Forcier.

Team chemistry, show us fans that this is our TEAM.

I want Isaac out there with some decent minutes. I want us to be realistically challenging for a playoff spot between 5-8th in the East next season we have the core but like others have mentioned above, Fournier needs to take a backstep and let Frid and AG take over this team. I want players wanting to play for the Magic, enough of this potential rubbish. Time to deliver.

At this point, doesn't it look like Mario is headed towards about 50+ DNP's? Unless room is cleared for him, he is crammed behind a combination of Fournier, Ross, Simmons, and Isaac...all deserving minutes ahead of Mario. There aren't any left for him.

I would like to see more HARD NOSE play on both ends of the floor! I would hope to see less pouting after missed shots on the offensive end of the floor and hard grind it out defense when we are waiting for our offense to arrive.

I want to see big strides from Elf, AG, Ross and real development in our rookies, especially Issac!

But most of all, I would really like to not have the visiting teams fans take over our Arena and give them the home town edge here....aka Knicks, Heat, Warriors etc!

In short, I want our team to give us back all that we lost after Shaq and Dwight departed! I want my house back! :onfire:
Waiting for the Championship parade at Lake Eola!
