The leverage may have gone back to Houston. We clearly stated we are rebuilding and would only want back pieces that go with our vision. Melo is putting it out there that he wants HOU now. If we can get a deal without taking on long term contracts it would be nice. Or do you guys think HOU has to come better in order to make it work for the knicks and to please Melo?

I unlike most don't see bringing on a 3 year contract as all that bad a thing as long as we're getting value in that player or something coming with that player. We're not gonna be a good team for at least those 3 years and we already have Noah for 3 more years so might as well have more money coming off the books with Noah.

C'mon I didn't say that SH*T! Add in a 1st and that'll sound like something I might of said. MPHARRIS Dan Patrick hit me with the "C's targeting Lee" early this AM - so I started a riot on here.

Dude you cant spew stuff and think its okay. Your first Rumor was D Russ to the knicks as part of the Melo deal and he wasn't even eligible to get traded as yet. It is what it is. You're a fraud (source wise). Stop trying to be a real gm hero.

D Russ is eligible for trade in less than a month. This was back when a 4 team deal seemed imminent. Don't play yourself trying too hard to paint me as some fraud. I just post the **** I hear about - which is always only Knicks related because the guy knows I'm a die hard fan. I don't wanna be a source. I just wanna participate in discussions. Stop worrying about my credibility - if you don't wanna believe me then don't fool. C's will acquire Lee and you'll have to eat your foot - watch. My source is legit it's just not really reliable because the guy just hits me with **** at random. Idk where he's getting info from. If yall arent interested in hearing about it (which most of you seem livid over) then I will just keep it to myself like I've done the last 3 years before discovering this forum.

K P 6 I will say this though.. You are strapped on and riding my d*ck like you are in a paid training program for inexperienced d*ck riders trying to get promoted.

I get Crowder is a good 3&D player. I get that. Let's not act like he's one of the only ones in the league. I think Knick fans are so starved for seeing a team that actually gets after it on D (due in large part to the coaching) and they see Crowder and Smart and nearly sh*t their pants in shock and awe. Crowder is a hustle 2nd round pick who worked hard and panned out. Smart is an overdrafted PG who honestly was a bit of a mistake by Ainge. I get these guys would play good defense anywhere.

Let's not assume because CLee is a Knick, or has been traded a lot, he's junk. He tends to move around but to good teams. Teams recognize he's a do it all guard who fits any system you want to run and will run it right, with good defense. He makes 12 million a year, which is now cheap and was a decent contract the moment it was signed. KOQ is a proven, serviceable C who rebounds, isn't a stiff scoring wise and can pass above average. He's also cheap as hell and only on a teams cap, for what, 2 more years?

Yeah, Knicks get the better of this deal, but not by a mile. Ok, I'll got with CLee and KOQ for Crowder and whatever is needed to get to make the salaries match.

Boston needs to get a SG. Maybe it's not Lee, but it will be somewhere. I bet Crowder or Smart get dealt. I mean, the Celts would still be 2.5 deep at SF with all sorts of #1 picks coming up, so it's not like they make this deal but are handcuffed from more deals next year, or that Crowder and Smart are the missing pieces that could have gotten them Anthony Davis.

A good trade for both sides.

Celtics get--KOQ and C.Lee

Knicks get--J.Crowder and T.Rozier

We get a PG and SF which are both needed especially if we do end up trading Melo.

Problem is that we need need to trade Melo first and see what our return would be before we trade Lee unless we package them together. Much easier to move Lee so it would make sense to trade Melo first and then see what we still need and trade Lee for what we need.

Still wouldn't trade him since we need veteran leadership which we obviously are in short supply.

It would be nice to get the Melo trade done first but if Boston is making an offer where we can get some combo out of J.Crowder, M.Smart, T Rozier, draft picks or any other young players then we need to jump on it before it goes away.

But the Knicks do not have a must trade Carmelo clause either. There is no taking a bad deal just so Melo gets what he wants.

The CP3 deal hurts his case as well because at least it netted his old team assets.

Melo can pout all his wants until he expands his destinations or the current teams on on his short list meet the asking price I don't see this getting done with how we see the new regime wants to run things.

New York Knicks star forward Carmelo Anthony is not considering waiving his no-trade clause to allow a trade to the Portland Trail Blazers, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Wojnarowski, who broke the news Saturday that the Blazers were interested in trading for Anthony, spoke about the potential connection between Portland and the Knicks’ 10-time All-Star on ESPN’s The Jump on Monday. – via kgw.com

Anthony, 33, has been willing to waive his no-trade clause for Houston and Cleveland, however, and in recent weeks has been focused on a trade to join fellow All-Stars Chris Paul and James Harden with the NBA power Rockets, ESPN.com has reported. The Anthony-to-Rockets talks have stalled with Perry’s hiring since the newcomer would like to survey the situation before making a move, a source said. – via The Undefeated
