Idk why everyone assumes Crowder would be moved the second I said that, yall know Jaylen Brown makes like a million less than Crowder?? The trade works with Jaylen and Smart - Knicks throw in a pick of some kind and we get 2 top 10 picks, they fill their void. Crowder's contract is too good..

Look man the reason guys are getting on you about sources is we've been dealing with this stuff sense Realgm first opened. Cats were saying stuff like "It's been reported that Ewing is being traded for Jordan, Per my sister's boyfriend's Dad who is Layden's busboy." We've stated long time ago that unless you give a source than don't report it. Now it may be true, who knows.

As far as this trade to me Smart for Lee is a perfect trade only if the salaries had matched, but adding additional players to make it work would just be stupid for the Celts. Lee makes more than Crowder and Smart by himself.

that would be done. jaylen brown solidifies the core starting lineup. i don't know why boston would go for a top-10 protection in that case tho. i consider an unprotected swap. i think brown is being sold short.

smart could mentor frank in a walk year, i suppose. not sure he'd be interested in sticking around to be a backup. but for the right price, i'd love him as the 6th man guard. he could still likely find 30 minutes a night that way. more perimeter toughness spelling either guard spot.

Reading just the first page I see now people are already angling towards Perry getting all the credit or blame for personnel moves and that's just the way Mills wants it even though Mills gets the final say on it... which means he gets to avoid the scrutiny for his meddling. The real test will be when they disagree on a player or action, does Perry have the freedom and autonomy to do what he wants or will Mills override him and force him to act on Mills opinion?

I doubt Perry has the autonomy to do what he wants if Mills disagrees and I won't believe he does have it until I see it.

I doubt Perry has the autonomy to even tell us when he disagrees with Mills. They won't want us to know they can't agree. They don't want to look crazy like that guy who used to run the Knicks.

It's true that FO teams rarely voice their disagreements in public but Mills has been around the Knicks for like 15 years with his way of operating is well established and his loyalties are to doing Dolan's bidding so those fingerprints are obvious when it's typical Knicksiness.
