I think playing Isaac at the 3 would be silly, but I also want him to play with AG so I guess it'll have to happen at some points.
His ball handling doesn't look bad or anything, but it's something I think he needs to work on a lot. Playing him at the 3 against better perimeter defenders wouldn't be doing him any favors imo. It's like Durant said recently on Simmons podcast. He was saying how dumb it is they made him play the 2 his rookie year. He said his handles were still so raw that he should've been playing the 4 until they got better. Not comparing players, just want to see Isaac get the most favorable match ups possible. Don't think it's at the 3.

Yeah man, nobody can justify that move for me. Only thing that makes any kind of sense is if those picks end up being involved in trades.

Summer League Roster / Summer League Thread (July 1st)
Thank god that I've stayed out of this thread during the summer league games. I knew that the DSJ overreaction would be at an all time high. I'm expecting this to continue the next few seasons until Isaac fully develops as DSJ is the more NBA ready prospect.
If there's a team that is going to crush themselves over their decision it's going to be New York. We went with the upside pick with a player that fits the exact direction the NBA is trending towards. That's what you do when your that high in the lottery, you pick for upside. We didn't pick DSJ for multiple understandable reasons, so people really just need to move on.

Re: Summer League Roster / Summer League Thread (July 1st)
I am totally fine with Isaac over DSJ, but Isaac is going to need tons of time and minutes to learn how to play basketball, so we better be in full tank mode and playing the young guys big minutes.
If we are trying to win, we should have picked DSJ.

Full tank mode is highly unlikely so you might as well start being disappointed now.

"That said, some things translate better than others: To some degree turnovers and free throw extent, and to a greater extent defensive rebounding and shot blocking rates seem to carry over very well....On the flip side, shooting, especially three-point shooting, doesn’t necessarily translate from the summer to the regular season"
I think that this bodes well for Issac because he performed very well on the defensive glass and as a shot blocker (just like he did in college).

I disagree, DSJ will have less impact than Isaac this year. One he's completely lost on defense. Two he over dribbles and takes bad shots.
