Where is Jahlil Okafor?

He's slow even in his workouts.

This is really awkward. Like got dumped by a gf but still live next door kind of awkward. And to top it off you see Joel Embiid leaving her apartment every morning.

I wonder what gives. Asking for too much? Nobody willing to give anything at all? As bad as it would look I think the best scenario for him would be to get his release so he can find the right situation to try to rebuild himself. Maybe that would wake his ass up too.

It's very hard to trade someone with injury issues.

Whether or not they pick up his option will be one of the more interesting questions of preseason (Right after whether we can get through without anyone breaking their gd foot)

Seriously I hate to belabor the point but this guy clearly is (still) not healthy. All of the videos are him doing non weight bearing stuff. Hopefully this pool stuff is a step in the right direction.

If improving cardio is an aim, I don't think that short pool is going to do much good. If space is a problem, they should have a resistance pool installed.

I have been really impressed with his attitude over the last year. When we were winning and he was riding the bench, he was one of the first to stand up and cheer. Some guys might get all snotty about it, but I never got that vibe with him.

Okafor's attitude has been good, hopefully, he gets a chance to play with a more talented Sixers group. Bigs with his elite scoring and shot creation are difficult to find.

I hope his knee is fine. Having a healthy off-season to get into playing shape will be crucial for him. Anyway, the new practice facility should help the team in many ways. If Okafor is practicing against Embiid, his defense should definitely improve.

Hey I hope so too, but we haven't seen/heard of any evidence of it. Obviously more goes on behind the scenes, but with numerous videos/pictures popping up in the Sixers practice facility....usually involving Embiid/Simmons/Roco etc you'd think you would see SOMETHING with Okafor in it if he was living in the gym working/adding to his game.

He looks a little slimmed down, and he cut his hair. Only other things I've seen is a couple vids of him working out, and always doing exercises that are often used in PT/Rehab like situations.Which leads me to believe he's STILL trying to get into shape and get his knee right, which would not be good considering its been over a year.

If I was a young basketball pro...id probably want to show off doing dunks, splashing step back one legged jumpers, 3's or full court one handed shots. Not doing laps in a baby pool with what appears to be cement shoes on.

Damn, if you're gonna rehab in the pool can someone at least teach him how to swim? Give him some goggles so he doesn't need to do "laps" back and forth with his head halfway outta the water? How does this half assed swimming help anything?
