Jokic for Brookyln 18 Memphis 19 LAC 19 Crowder and Filler (Larkin etc.)

Why for BOS
Get the perfect big for their team while still retaining assets for someone like AD (Tatum Brown and LAL pick)

IT/JB/MM/HORF./JOKIC
Plus a solid bench may take over the CAVS

Thoughts?
Bet with Stillwater Celtics will finish 6th or higher in ECF Standings Regular Season(17-18). [WON]

Denver basically has him as untouchable. He is their building block

That's a picture of Gordon Hayward.

Now that Jerebko is gone, I figured Hayward would be my GFs eye candy when she was forced to watch. But I am thinking it's going to be Theis, if he ever plays lol.

Not even CLOSE, DEN really has no incentive to give up their best player for draft picks.......pathetic !!

Its good that you like bball, please dont ever judge value. Your perceptions are absurdly biased one sided. Thats a ton to give up for Jokic as good as he may be to me at least Bamba and Ayton both have more potential. Bagley and Porter too. Anyhow lad, enjoy semi mediocrity. :D You've earned it.
Good assessment:

I'll make it even simpler. I'm gone from this forum. See you guys in a while. Maybe the spam will have died down by then.

That... escalated quicker than I thought it would. For the record, I was trying be playful not be a dick. I guess that didn't come across.

Jokic would be no good anyways if we traded for him. Bad trade for both sides.

"Jokic is solid but, did Boston really want to give up Larkin?"

Although unlikely uncertain, everyone should take a minute to realize that the Celtics have the potential of landing two top five picks in next year's draft.

The potential of being able to draft two players from this list is a really big deal:

Marvin Bagley
Michael Porter
Luka Doncic
DeAndre Ayton
Mohamed Bamba

I like the combination of Thomas/Hayward/Horford a lot, and this is going to be a great season, but Tatum/Brown and two of these guys is a serious future.

I really don't think LA will be that bad next season. Their young energy and lack of a reason to tank will make them like the Magic and Kings. Bad but not bad enough. Hopefully not though.

Young energy rarely translates into wins. Rookie PG and 2nd year 19 yr old wing generally not great for present success. But they have a good coach and Lopez and Pope give them some stability. Also more bad teams this year so I think its unlikely that both BKN and LAL are top 5.

Boohoo

The drama and intensity is fierce. Damn. It's the internet man. Hard to get too upset at people having a little fun in the off-season.

And the doggiest days of it at that.

Fencer, I've appreciated you as a poster since the ESPN days -- don't (really) go! (for long) (please)

The challenge is more about how the league will shape up. You'd think the Lakers would be less likely to rise because of how much better the West got and Brooklyn would improve because the East lost some key players. We will see, but the potential is there for both teams to find wins hard to come by.

I don't think the Lakers are a well put together team at all. Ball is an uptempo point guard playing on a team whose best player is a slow center. They lost two of their better three point shooters in Swaggy P and Russell. There's a lot of hype, but the breakdown doesn't back the hype up.

Agreed, especially given that the default for a lot of fans around the NBA seems to be the tired "PICK A DIRECTION LOL WTF IZ BOSTON DOING?"

Kings got third pick in draft this year.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."
