You beat me to it - but that was a shocker

I see two scenarios

1) : Irving for Melo with the Suns as a third team possibly with Bledsoe going to Cleveland and Love to the Suns; not sure that fits the timeline

2) Irving and Frye for Bledsoe and Chandler

damn I just wish could get Knight to the Knicks in that deal - let me get to the trade machine. granted, I am still not sure a score first PG is the right fit with Booker. But I do know, that would be a great asset the Knicks would probably want for Melo. The Cavs would have Rose as a PG with Calderon - is that enough? Rose and Melo or just Kyrie

Trade Machine: Irving and Frye for Melo is straight up working

Trade Machine with Suns in that three way: Irving and Frye to Knicks: Bledsoe . Chandler and Melo to Cleveland and Love to Phoenix

Three way with the Suns getting Irving - sucks for the Knicks
Cleveland: Melo and Bled
Knicks: Knight Frye or Shumpert and draft picks - say the Suns pick from the Heat
Suns Kyrie and Shumpert or FRye

I think a deal with maybe Bledsoe, Chandler, and the Miami picks (at the least). Cleveland isn't going to take a beating on a trade for him. They don't have to trade him and he's locked up.

Yup, Kyrie wants to be the man and Cavs need to reduce their tax bill...

Irving has expressed that he wants to go play in a situation where he can be a more focal point and no longer wants to play alongside LeBron James, sources said.

I don't think either of those deals is enough of a return for Cleveland. I think we'd have to offer Bledsoe and something else...more of a win now piece and maybe a pick. They need shooters so they probably wouldn't mind a guy like Dudley. I imagine if they trade him they'd get better offers than we would offer. Bledsoe isn't that much worse overall than Kyrie, but he's a far worse shooter...he partially makes up for that because he's a neutral defender and Kyrie is a bad defender.

Wonder how King James would feel about BOTH Bledsoe and Melo on his team though? Granted, leaves the Knicks high and dry with like Brandon Knight, draft pick from the Heat, maybe a future first and Warren?

But if you are the Knicks, I would think Irving is the guy to trade Carmelo for. Irving would love the bright lights, big city of the Garden

My guess - its Shumpert or Frye and Irving, straight up for Melo with Derrick Rose your new PG in Cleveland.

My darkhorse in this race would be the Celtics.
Trade IT and a couple picks for Irving. Though, do you want to keep him in the conference?

kyrie is my favorite player so naturally I'm on board with any deal to get him in phx. it'd require more than bled and chandler I imagine. probably a pick and warren, maybe more would need to be included. I know suns fans aren't as high on him, and I understand. He dribbles too much and sometimes forces shots, and not the greatest defender, but this man is a baller that can take over a game. he's also only 25, which isn't far out of the timeline. I'd say we probably have no chance, but the jones signing makes it interesting.

How about a three-way:

Cleveland gets Bledsoe and Anthony

New York gets Irving and Love

Phoenix gets Porzingas and Nitilnkina

Chandler, Chriss and a Miami 1st could be thrown in to make everything work.

We'd have to be concerned with him taking the reigns over Booker then. Would they be to play together?
