LOL the team that likes guys who are over themselves is going to trade for the guy who is tired of having to share the ball with LBJ?

Also, Kyrie you don't have a no trade clause & you're locked up. You'll go to whichever team makes the best offer.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Yo keep in mind James Jones just became VP of basketball Ops in Pheonix. Jones was Irving's teammate last couple years.

If LeBron told Kyrie he was leaving, then why would Kyrie force his way out of Cleveland to "be the man" elsewhere? He could stay in Cleveland and be the first option.

Because they are losing the best player in the NBA and they are stuck with crappy contracts. Not to mention that nobody will want to go play in Cleveland now

Cool.

....and why would he force his way out this off season rather than next off season?

Sources: In the Kyrie Irving meeting with Cavs, one of primary teams raised as a preferred trade destination for him: The San Antonio Spurs

I'm sure if Bron committed to staying for the next 3 years, Kyrie would too. You think Kyrie is gonna let Bron leave his ass with an old af roster with horrible contracts? He's only 25. Isn't 26 officially "your prime"? He could get a good year in with Miami or NY developing chemistry with their all-star big men. After a summer of adding pieces since players want to play with Kyrie (surprisingly enough since he's ball-dominant) they could maybe contend in the East honestly once he's 26.

He's not an MVP player because a team with him as the best player will never win more than 40-45 games.

He's a great 2nd option, that is his best role. A PG who can't operate an offense, play defense and isn't willing to play off ball isn't winning much.

I at least want to see what Kyrie can do in a non-Lebron dominating offense as 25 year on his own team. Your opinion is all conjecture. I say let's see what he does now with the full keys and a playoff roster around him.

I mean I wouldn't either.

Doubt you'd get good value back for him.

I really don't know what's on his mind. The only way this is acceptable is if he knows Lebron is leaving 100%.

But the report states he no longer wants to play with Bron. Like wtf. That to me is completely idiotic.

People constantly take Lebron for granted and they get burned for doing so.

LeLakers is heading West. Kyrie does not want any part of Gilbert.

Kyrie and bron have/had their differences initially but everything's been good for a while. If you re watch kyries finals loss post game interview it's all about how great bron is and how he wants to continue to play with and learn from him...

So what's happened between then and now I wonder because I think he was really genuine at the time.

Oh well at least we won one title. Looks like we'll be a laughing stock in a year again.

He wouldn't want to be the leading man in a post-Bron Cleveland. Which is why this "I don't want to play with Bron anymore" line is bull. Kyrie would stay if Lebron committed to 3 more years. But it's obvious Kyrie sees the writing on the wall, and doesn't want to be left over with the Cavs **** roster.

He can't have it both ways. He's not going to be "the man" on any actually good team, so he might as well stay and compete for titles with LeBron.

Or, and this is crazy, you could read the article which states why Kyrie wants to be traded and learn that it has nothing to do with Gilbert. But a lack of knowledge has never stopped people from forming opinions.

You really think Dan Gilbert's incompetence has nothing to do with this? Sure he might want to be a main piece or whatever, but i am positive Dan Gilbert has made it much easier for him to leave/request a trade

If Cleveland is smart they do not honor his request right now, they should wait until at least the trade deadline or better yet wait until the draft next year. I believe Kyrie is in Asia promoting his shoe right now, it will be interesting to see what he says about all of this. What a mess for Cleveland right now.

Cleveland gets to clear up cap space and start their rebuild and get a pick, while Boston gets a better version of IT but younger and is under contract for an extra year compared to IT so they wont have to break the bank for an extra year. I know this isnt going to happen, but dammit I want to see Kyrie team up with Tatum haha.

As fun as this scenario would be, there's no way for Boston to add a salary as large as Kyrie's at this point without including Horford, which is not a realistic move for anyone.

That's not true, Thomas/Crowder/and one of their 2nd round guys for Kyrie is a legal trade.

Eh the Crowder thing would be a hard thing to chew for Boston, definitely would make it more appealing to Cleveland. This would make no sense for Boston if they had to give up Crowder.

Yeah he has no power other than the threat that in two years he could leave his new team.
Nice of him to pick a team that has no trade assets though, lol.
