If I'm the Jazz, I'm picking up the phone with Favors, Hood, Rubio and as many picks as Cavs want. It may well not get the deal done but it's worth a shot.

Utah would be an ideal place for him. A great coach, tremendous defense all around him so his defensive flaws basically get erased. I like a young core of Gobert/Kyrie/Mitchell. Id try to keep Hood because he can play the 2 or 3 and brings some shooting (inconsistently I know).

Favors/Rubio for Irving would be insane for the Jazz. Would the Cavs think Favors and Rubio is enough?

I doubt it. Favors would be a FA next year. I think Utah would have to throw in a pick at least.

Why does it matter? He's got two years left on his contract. That said it would have to be Wiggins + out of Minny. I'd pay good money to see a Waiters/Irving reunion in Miami though.

This is actually better for tbe Cavs. Irving is under contract so he can be traded anywhere. Kyrie(and Kevin) is a bad fit for Cleveland. If you are going to have a big 3 at least two of them need to be good defenders.

Lol - he really does. They are like all freaking out and melting down cause they lost. They need to chill and appreciate that they are still a great team as is, but I guess that's easier said than done.

I can believe this. Only fans slurp Lebron's D and act like the world revolves around him. Same with all Superstar athletes. You guys think Kyrie doesn't have supreme confidence in his abilities? He probably watches his game winner in the 16' Finals, and thinks he's better than Jordan. Why should he be a second class citizen to anyone?

Sometimes having an owners with a dickish streak comes in handy. I strongly suspect this might be one of those times. Kyrie isn't going anywhere this season unless there's an issue in N.O. or OKC.

The incompetence of letting the griffin thing go on to the trade deadline and then letting him go while he was in the middle of many trade talks is off the charts. Completely moronic to not have it sorted one way or the other by then.

We could have had a great team. We had good deals for Kyrie and now we won't get anything worthwhile everyone's been traded already.

First of all....I believe the story....as a Cavs fan, Kyrie is 100% more clutch than Lebron, and he always wanted to have the team built around him. He and Waiters went at it when Waiters was in Cleveland, and I admit I like Waiters better than Kyrie, since he seemed to want to win more than Kyrie. So, basically, I believe that Kyrie wants to be the man and not have Lebron as the focus. The hype and following of Lebron is so obnoxious by media and fans (along with what Lebron creates as he is obviously a major drama queen/king), I understand it. So, I don't get the pics of Lebron in a Laker uniform...because if Kyrie knew for sure he was bolting, he would just shut his mouth and play it out and be the man in Cleveland. I really enjoy watching Kyrie play, but he has a lot of negatives, and would be willing to trade him for the right package (negatives are he is injury prone, not a good facilitor for others, and very poor defender), but if not, let him sulk for 3 years because that is what I think he has left (unless he has an option for the 3rd year not being shown by Hoopshype).

Said it a while ago Kyrie wasn't gonna be on the Lebron train for too long. Man wants his own legacy.

Kyrie for Bledsoe and Josh Jackson makes sense. Cavs could flip Jackson or just keep him to start a re-build once LeBron leaves.

Bledsoe and smaller parts would never work for Cleveland.

I'd keep Jackson tbh. Bledsoe/Jackson/James/Love/Thompson is a better roster than before imo. 3pt% would be an issue, but a huge upgrade defensively.

Cavs should ask Lebron and his agent if there really is a fire under the smoke

Post#318 » by Hellcrooner » Fri Jul 21, 2017 8:43 pm

Ask him if he REALLY wants the lakers.

If he says yes then TRADE him(kyrie and Love too) and start the rebuiliding.

Ask for Ingram, Deng, Randle and a pick.

Lakers should do that too, leaves them the space for George who is likely to join if lebron is there and yes ingram is valuable but would be a surplus anyway if they get Lebron and George.

Favors is an ideal fit at 5 for the Cavs, IMO. He protects the rim, runs the PnR, rebounds and can space out to 18 feet. He can play 4 and 5.

Thompson, Favors, Love and LeBron at the 4/5 is fantastic.

Hood would have to be included to give them a scoring threat on the wing IMO.
