Another thing, if Kyrie wants his own team and Lebron leaves in 2018, then why not just stay with the Cavs?

Bordow said Bledsoe won't get it done. But if Lebron wants to win in 2018 - and more so Dan Gilbert, Bledsoe and Melo would be a solid team, both expire in 2019 and you go clean in 2019.

It will be interesting to see how the Suns shake out. And for me, as long as they don't take on Noah or trade Booker/Josh - I am pretty open to a lot of stuff

It will take Bledsoe - but if the Suns can keep Jackson, Booker, Bender or Chriss - they would be better with Kyrie.

well yeah obviously we'll have to deal bledsoe, I worded that poorly. Just meant Jackson in addition to Bledsoe+ other assests is way too much

Hmm - Cavs start the rebuild a year early

LeBron to the Lakers for Randle, Ingram and Clarkson

Kyrie to whereever

I would add Bender to that list, and then I'm good on trading anyone else for Kyrie.

I would prefer a deal where we get value for Bled and Irving goes somewhere else. The Cavs still need to try to win with the King on the roster. Few players make more immediate sense than Bledsoe. I simply don't like Kyrie for us. Not saying I wouldn't take him in the right deal, but I'm just not willing to pay top dollar for him. If someone else is so willing, I'm happy to get fair compensation as the third team in this dance - take on extra salary, move good players on reasonable contracts. That's my preference.

Cavs are screwed.

Irving wants out.

Lebron is pissed that they havent made any real moves in the off season.

Now is their chance to do so by adding Bledsoe/Melo/Chandler, but they dont want to because Lebron wont give them any idea if he is staying past this season or not, and adding those 3 players wont be good for the team if he is gone next year.

Its a catch 22.

They are ****.

Here is Dan Gilbert right now:

Remember what the Cavs looked like after Lebron went to Miami? That's why he doesn't want to stay in Cleveland post-Lebron.

In thinking about it, I really don't want to give up too much for Kyrie. He could bolt if we're not good enough within two years. Warren could be an All-Star in this league, so could Jackson. #trustthetimeline

Warren is never going to be an All Star. People need to get off that thought.

there's no doubt: trading for Kyrie could be a HUGE mistake. #trustthetimeline

Agreed - don't mess with the timeline. That's why I want to keep most of the young guys in any deal for Kyrie.

I mention Love and Lee - so you are replacing Bledsoe, Knight and Chandler with Love and Lee for three years - to add to the young guys. I don't know what team is better.

I just know the players I do not want to lose for Kyrie Irving deal

Trading Bledsoe for a better PG, who happens to average less assists.. I know Lebron is handling the ball most of the time, but still, Irving should average those assists on finishes by James alone..

Josh Jackson for me is almost as untouchable as DEvin Booker

There goes Broussard for his home town team. I think he is from Cleveland

Pelton:
The best option, then, might be a Phoenix Suns package centered around point guard Eric Bledsoe. While his effort tends to wax and wane during the regular season, Bledsoe is the kind of physical defender Irving is not, and he's become a credible enough 3-point threat to play off the ball. (Bledsoe made a career-high 104 3s last season, albeit at a below-average 33.5 percent clip.)

There are other reasons to believe a Bledsoe deal could work. He's a client of Klutch Sports, the agency founded by James' business partner Rich Paul. Phoenix also has ample cap space to take a contract like Channing Frye or Iman Shumpert off Cleveland's books, reducing the Cavaliers' tax bill. A deal of Irving and Shumpert for Bledsoe and T.J. Warren would save Cleveland nearly $60 million in payroll and taxes this season.

While Bledsoe would be a defensive upgrade against Stephen Curry in a possible Finals rematch, it's still hard to say the Cavaliers would have a better chance of beating Golden State with him in place of Irving. Cleveland would lose too much of the shooting and shot creation that broke the Warriors' defense late in the 2016 Finals. Unless the Cavaliers can get another star point guard who is unexpectedly available in a trade, an Irving deal might help them in the regular season but not in the playoffs.
