I think LB has a bit of Kobe in him....kind of a guy that turns on his own teammates if needed to deflect failure. Probably gets old.

Re: Report: LeBron 'blindsided' by Irving's trade request
To me these guys are opposites. Kyrie plays with fire and leaves his heart out on the floor every game. James is just a whiner. He only shows fire when his team is up. He yells at teammates when things aren't going well. You can even tell when he loses his cool against the other team. Remember he kept chattering at KD during the Finals and KD just laughed him off; but you could just see the irritation on James' face.
Having said all that, and as I wrote in the other thread, I think Kyrie's main motivation is to go to a team where he is the alpha, put up huge numbers, in his FREE AGENT year$!$! He certainly won't surpass James in CLE, at least not for a few years passed when James ages and if they are still together there.
***EDIT*** Oh sorry looks like I read wrong, Kyrie doens't hit FA until another 2 seasons. I'll have to reformulate my opinions...

He cares more about his touches and stats than winning.
Thats why he named SA as one of the 4 teams hed like to go to?
It's why he named the Knicks and Heat, and why he's even trying to leave a title contender in order to be the "focal point" of a team the first place. We've seen enough to know that any team where Kyrie is the "focal point" is lottery bound, not to mention dysfunctional on and off the court.

in the end nothing will happen and Kyrie will stay in Cleveland. That's the typical offseason buzz

I love it. The whole narrative that everyone wants to play with Lebron is bull. The cavs are a bigger mess than the knicks right now.
Haters man lol. All ball dominant players are like that. Fact of the matter is lebron is an unselfish player so if you think Kyrie would be better off faring with another team as the number one option youd be hard pressed to find another better situation. He goes to the spurs they still lose to the warriors. He goes to the T-wolves its a second round exit, knicks and miami really? "The whole narrative that everyone wants to play with Lebron is bull" You could literally say this for every ball dominant player. Problem is Kyrie gets his shots, its what he lacks on the other end that gives him no room for complaining. Now if he wants to leave because he thinks lebron is gone thats a different story.
So LeGM and Rich Paul capped out the Cavaliers and gave Irving the heads up that hes leaving

I don't think Kyrie is good enough to be worth some of the trade ideas I see thrown around. He's still a poor playmaker and a poor defender.

There's no such narrative. All people say is that LeBron is a great team player and leader, which he is.
Yet his last 7 teams have played in the NBA Finals. If they "hated" him, they sure did enjoy the ride in the end and that extra playoff money, oh, yea, and the 3 championships won as well.
But I suppose, those players that enjoy their "summertime" would much prefer that it in the end.
I think the breaking point is Ky/LBJ just 2 different personalities and in some respects, when Ky looks back, he may regret this decision, especially, if he's sent somewhere he didn't want to go. Just seems to me he's bailing 1 summer too early to close up shop before seeing what they could've done this year. I just don't see how they go into training camp with him with all this drama on top of all the LBJ to LA drama most likely to engulf us all season as well.
But who knows, maybe they'll have a "team meeting" and hash it all out or all this "brotherhood" talk is a bunch of a BS. We shall see...
Come at the king, you best not miss...

I don't buy it, Lebron probably told Irving he's leaving. Irving said a couple of weeks ago if Lebron leaves than he would like to be traded

But here's my take - so he's in a contract year and wants to be the top dog on his team to land the biggest contract possible in FA. Welcome to today's sports world. Nobody cares about winning anymore, it's all about the paycheck. Now I can't say that I blame the players for that; it's their choice. But all these comments people write about doing what's best for "winning"; you have to remember it's not always the player's top priority.
Hes not in a contract year though and he doesnt need to do anything to get a max contract in 2 summers. Unless he gets a major injury or something, he is a lock for a max contract. And I dont get why people are saying he doesnt care about winning when he said he wants to end up in SA or Minny. Heck even Miami, Miami is never down for long with Riley and they almost made the playoffs last year. Add Kyrie, Bam and Winslow and that team is definitely in the playoffs.

Literally no point in trying to give it one more try with the same exact squad....Cavs are not beating the Warriors plain and simple.

Cavaliers were trash before Lebron's return to Cleveland , Irving as the leader of the team equals failure.
