We should praise something like this .. he's literally going the harder route to see his true potential as a number 1

Kind of like what Kobe did.. and then Kobe went and won with a different cast while still in his prime .. that is special , not a lot of guys in sports have done that

I guess anything knicks related kyrie still wants porzingis there.. secondary packages would get trumped

Kyrie has more Jordan/Kobe in his blood than LeBron/Durant, this has nothing to do with talent but mindset.

If I'm Gilbert, which I'd never be such a whiny B if I was, but if I was him, I'd trade him only to where I felt like I get the best deal possible not one of his 4 teams.

Karma is very real and Dan Gilbert is living in it right now

The Cavs are gonna take Melo and Frank Ntitti for Kyrie and like it

they wouldn't do a straight up deal. la would have had to add. Rockets gave up not a lot for Paul, Irving is a superstar in his prime.

I understand he is younger, but you know lebron would have loved to get cp3 in return. If it would help the cavs could have Austin rivers too

Kyrie wants out? WTH is going on? Doesn't Cleveland have everything a player like him could want?

Or, and this is crazy, you could read the article which states why Kyrie wants to be traded and learn that it has nothing to do with Gilbert. But a lack of knowledge has never stopped people from forming opinions.

Read on Twitter

Gilbert needlessly firing their GM seems to support my assertion that Dan Gilbert has mismanaged that franchise pretty hardcore.

The Spurs are the only contender on that list and even they aren't worth leaving his current situation for.

Even if the Heat do make the playoffs, the fact that they're on his list even though they currently employ Dion Waiters - who didn't get along with Kyrie in Cleveland and vice versa - shows how desperate Kyrie is for touches and stats.

This thing again about how we have seen enough of Kyrie on his own to know he cant lead a team to the playoffs because he didnt do it when he was 21. Not too many of the star PGs today were in the playoffs when they were 21. Only one I can think of was Westbrook and he was teamed up with the scoring champ that year.

It's not just when he was 21. Over the past three seasons, Kyrie and Kevin Love went 4-12 together when LeBron wasn't playing. That is abysmal, and that's *with* another All-Star in the lineup alongside him.

And really we are going to say Kyrie was the reason for the dysfunction on and off the court? Are we just going to forget he was playing with a 22 year old Dion Waiters and also the Andrew Bynum side show? But I guess thats all on Kyrie too?

Kyrie wasn't the sole reason for the dysfunction, but he was a major contributor to it.

It's why he named the Knicks and Heat, and why he's even trying to leave a title contender in order to be the "focal point" of a team the first place. We've seen enough to know that any team where Kyrie is the "focal point" is lottery bound, not to mention dysfunctional on and off the court.

The Cavs actually won 6 more games in Kyrie's first 3 seasons than the Wizards did in the first 3 seasons with John Wall. I dont see anyone saying you cant win with John Wall based on his first 3 seasons.

I agree that's the most annoying Kyrie argument on this board. Kyrie was 21 with Antwan Jamison's corpse as his second best player and he gets penalized for not leading his team to the playoffs his first 3 years when Wall didn't also with arguably a better team?? Forget any comparisons between Kyrie and Wall, we can all agree how stupid of an argument that is right? It's only made because people have short term memories and think Kyrie is like 28 or something.

I say give Kyrie a shot now that he is 25 and about to enter his prime with a team built around him not Bron. I bet it would be damn fun to watch.

When LeBron went back to Cleveland, I couldn't imagine a scenario he would leave again. How can you betray YOUR city twice? But what's essentially happened here is that Kyrie has taken the pressure off LeBron and opened the door for him to leave on relatively good terms in next years free agency.

The storylines will say Kyrie was the one who quit, not LeBron....

This is all so bizarre.

I wonder what value they will get in return

oddly. if you read the story its the exact opposite of what you're implying.

True, Kyrie wants to leave LeBron.

But LeBron was shocked that Kyrie was leaving. So maybe this causes LeBron to leave next season too (not sure about the Lakers but maybe to another team in the east)

The one interesting thing about this situation is that this time everyone expects and wants him to leave. While no one expected him to or wanted him to the previous two times.

Well considering Kyrie hasn't won anything sans LBJ... his way shouldn't be all that appealing. :nonono:

Kobe's former agent is general manager of the Lakers and Kyrie does look up to Kobe

Does anyone else think that Kobe may have been whispering in Kyrie's ear that he needs his own team to sabotage the Cavaliers and force LeBron to the Lakers in free agency? It's something Kobe has done before with Westbrook and OKC so I wouldn't put it past him

You meant that James was disappointed in the offseason, not that James himself has disapointed this offseson.

The way it was worded was a bit confusing.
