Yeah like I said this off season is a complete disaster. I dunno how things spiralled out of control so fast. Wtf is happening behind the scenes?

I really wanted to trade Kyrie and we could have had pg and Bledsoe or butler. Now what's out there?

I think the teams that makes *some* sense to trade Kyrie to are: Denver, Orlando and PHX.

Hi there. Jazz fan here, who just lost one of our top 2 players (because apparently he doesn't like playing big-boy ball in the West -- no offense to the Cav's, who are the only real team in the East), so this news must feel similar to what Jazz fans are going through.

From what I'm reading, he isn't wanting out due to LBJ leaving, he's wanting out because he wants to be the focal point of the team, which won't happen with LBJ there. So maybe they should trade LeBron & get a "King's ransom" for him (see what I did there?), and let it be Irving's team. Irving is on a longer deal, while LeBron may be leaving anyway after this year, so why not keep Kyrie?

But then again... does he have a no-trade clause?

Side Note: LeBron is the greatest player I've ever seen, and probably the greatest of all-time.

If i were the Cav's i would be trying to trade Queen James and not Kyrie -- I respect the fact James is a heck of a player but his ego / power trip whatever you want to call it - is a cancer to the Cavs. I feel sorry for you guys but you got a glipse of this when he left for Miami so in some way i am not surprised.

Well now we know the real reason Rose has interest in coming to the Land.
Irving should get a nice return though if they are smart about it.
my first thought was straight up for John Wall.
higher # of players in return might be found sending him to Phoenix for Bledsoe, Bender, Warren.
sending him to the Spurs for Green & Murray ( they won't trade Leo).
sending him to Boston for Isaiah , Brown & Smart.
sending him to the Timber wolves for Wiggins & Dieng.
sending him & Frye to New Orleans for Davis although unlikely would be my favorite move if the Pelicans are content with Boogie.
sending him to Denver for Chandler,Harris,Mudiay & Hernangomez. ( they are not trading Jokic)
sending him to the Bucks for Brogdan,Delly,Henson or Delly, Jabari & Maker.
lesser desirable returns but still solid:
sending him to Charlotte for Kemba & Lamb + a draft pick
sending him to detroit for Jackson Johnson & a draft pick.
sending him to NY,or Miami 2 of his preferred destinations don't offer much in return unless you want Dragic or can pry away KP.
sending him to SA or MIN his other 2 preferred destinations are more likely , but who cares what he wants.
I am not in shocked by this, but disappointed and believe he will likely regret the decision.

This was very surprising to hear, as a Knicks fan, i'd definitely welcome Kyrie to Madison Square Garden, Knicks and their fans need someone to change the negativity surrounding this franchise... tell Lebron he can have his buddy Melo join him in Cleveland, we will even take JR Smith and Shumpert back if the salaries are needed to match up...

Queen James isn't giving an opinion & this isn't a debate.

Kyrie wants to be the leader of a 28-54 team again.

People are going to figure out just how overrated he is now

I doubt lebron ends up leaving but if your front office was 99 percent sure he was leaving at the end of the season would you want them to trade him for a haul or keep him and ride it out?

Wow. You are REALLY overrating kyrie. Most of these proposed deals are ludicrous and there's no way teams would give up these packages for a PG who can't defend or pass...

I think some of these are believable. The Suns deal for Bledsoe, Warren and Bender with no picks involved is solid for both sides.

maybe so, but I would not be surprised if they get back a decent haul for him regardless of if it isn't quite as good as I am hoping or if he isn't worth that to you.
It has leaked which I had heard in Cleveland awhile ago but couldn't confirm until now that Griffin was really let go because he wanted to blow up the team and was willing to part with Irving to do it before the draft. Gilbert refused, now has to trade him anyway. The funny thing is,how many in the org wanted him traded?Did Kyrie decide he wants out now because he was on the block after the finals? Could have been a significant amount of people in the Cav's org wanted him moved anyway, because of the defensive side of Kyrie is not at all at a star level despite improvement every year,& despite his star level handles and below the rim finishes are top 3 in the NBA he holds immense value as a trade chip esp with K.Love's value taking a dip because of his sub par play against the Warriors despite his value remaining high against every other team.

Well I've looked at it a little closer and some of these deals aren't as bad as I thought at first glance. I didn't realize there were several "or's" thrown in.

Still Anthony Davis and John wall are pipe dreams.

As a charlotte fan I wouldn't trade kemba straight up for him.

A lot of people think Irving's stats will get better without LeBron but I think they will get worse. And hes not a guy who makes his teammates better...
