young players? Brogdon and Middleton are effectively the same age as Kyrie...

If the Cavs wanted Jabari and Mids, I would strongly consider doing it.

If you're unhappy playing with LeBron, I don't want you on my team.

This x1000

How do you want off a team with LeBron James and basically a guaranteed path to the Finals?

Or maybe he just knows LeBron is leaving and is using this as his out :reporter:.

I think Kyrie is very flawed as a player. His defense will never be any good, and I have concerns about how much of a star he is.

That being said, if the Bucks could get him, they would be crazy not to. I even think that cheapass Gilbert might consider a deal like this

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yc926qgo

if only because it lets that **** get out of the luxury tax sooner when Monroe and Hawes expire, and LeBron leaves next year. I don't actually know how much better that trade makes the Bucks, but a lineup of Kyrie/Brogdon/Middleton/Giannis/Thompson with Shump and Snell subbing in at the guard positions and our poo-poo platter of front court **** could probably still win 55 in the East and get to the conference finals.

if he knows LeBron is leaving he gets a run at the finals and then gets his own team after. why would he want out now?
if he was going to demand a trade to get out of Cleveland if lebron left he could do it next summer either way as well.
why leave now unless he really doesn't like playing with LeBron?

I don't see how this could have anything to do with LeBron besides what he said it had to do with LeBron.

this league is getting too weird for me. its sad to me whats happening with these guys compared to the league I grew up watching.

So, some guy's ranking of the under-25 talent of the nba teams. Bucks were second. Cavs were last (only under 25 player they listed was Felder - - Kyrie is 25).

The guy mentioned Wiggins as a lock-down defender, so . . .

assuming the knicks give up picks and Carmelo for kyrie then.....rose, LeBron, Carmelo and love plus whatever those picks could be flipped for puts the cavs in better shape then when kyrie leaves them imo

I wouldn't want to play on a Cavs team without LBJ either, I'm sure Kyrie remembers what that was like. That FO is a mess and has done nothing besides being gifted LBJ twice. I wouldn't blame him for wanting out if he knew LBJ was gone next season.

Talent-wise, Kyrie has more of that in his little toe's hangnail than Jennings does in his whole body. Tho I'm sure you already know that.

Have we ever traded for anyone who got better or at least stayed the same? Is Tony Snell the first and only example?

Seems like guys come to MKE and suddenly lose a step or can't shoot anymore.

This is absolutely wild, the NBA is truly part basketball, part soap opera. What off-season?

Packages I'd give up for Kyrie in order of most willing to give up to least:

(All work in the ESPN Trade Machine)

Jabari/Delly/Henson/2018 1st/2020 1st for Kyrie

Jabari/Brogdon/Henson/2018 1st/2020 1st for Kyrie

Jabari/Delly/2018 1st for Kyrie

Jabari/Delly/Moose/2018 1st for Kyrie/Frye/Tavares

Jabari/Brogdon/Moose 2018 1st for Kyrie/Frye

Jabari/Thon/Delly/2019 1st for Kyrie

Jabari/Middleton

Jabari/Middleton/Delly for Kyrie/Frye

Jabari/Middleton/2019 1st for Kyrie

Jabari/Middleton/2018 1st for Kyrie

Jabri/Middleton/Brogdon for Kyrie is the absolute most I'd do and I'd walk away very unhappy.

I would definitely do any of the last 4 deals from the Cavs PoV, assuming no other team offered a trade. I would definitely not do any of the first 3 deals from their PoV, but I felt they were worth including.

Note 1:

I didn't include DJ in any of these trades because as we know he was #9 on our draft board and 16 teams passed on him, so I think it's safe to say we would value him significantly higher than the Cavs would making him unlikely to be included.

Note 2:

I didn't include any absolutely insane 7+ player deals. There are some I would personally do, but there's zero chance whatsoever one actually happens.

--------------------

What I think the trade will actually be if it happens (works in the trade machine):

CLE out: Kyrie, Shumpert, Frye

CLE in: Melo, Bledsoe

NYK out: Melo, 2018 1st (lotto protected until it conveys)

NYK in: Josh Jackson, Shumpert, Frye

PHX out: Bledsoe, Josh Jackson

Phx in: Kyrie, 2018 Knicks 1st (lotto protected until it conveys)

This trade would have to wait until Aug 2nd to be finalized because you're trading the recently drafted Josh Jackson.

I can't see what team says no to this. Maybe PHX, but you could send Frye their way (expiring) and take some of the protection off the NYK pick if needed.

----------------------

Overall I would guess there is a 70% chance Kyrie gets moved before the season and a 5% chance he moves to the Bucks.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
