Hilarious. A team turning down the chance to have Lebron on their team...

He can go to your Raps. Enjoy.

I would be estatic, the raptors hit a ceiling, and it was Lebron.
Adding Lebron without giving up any core pieces and they would be better than Cleveland today.

Toronto had a point differntial of 4.2, best in the east.
Arguably the most injured roster last year, and played much better with Ibaka.
They would replace CJ Miles, a negative player with Lebron who had a real plus minus of 8.42.

They would probably have a differential of 10+, hell yeah I would take that.
I would pay multiple firsts.

Enjoy the finals appearance? Enjoy the best player ever to don a Raptors uniform? Enjoy the 2nd best player in NBA history playing for Toronto?

yeah, I'd enjoy that.

Still not sure why Bron would want to go to LAL unless LA does some serious moves. This just wreaks of more crap like in 2010 where everyone claimed he is dying to be a Knick. Same crap this time, in reality he will probably go somewhere like Houston or OKC or something.... or maybe stay in CLE, but obviously that is starting to seem more and more less likely as time goes on.

I believe he'd be going with another max player. That seems to be his M.O.

It's more for his brand. I believe this was part of his and Rich Paul's whole master plan. To have him remain healthy and keep him on short term contracts to remain flexible so that at the end of his career he could go to LA.. pimp the LA market and the Laker brand to catapult his business endeavors... so that they're ready for him in a few years when he's ready for retirement. There's already lots of rumors floating around LA media of brons people looking to setup shop.. and that Bron has interest in Hollywood.

I honestly don't want him on the Lakers unless it's at a discount and not Max money. My guess though is that at 34.. he'll finally want a long term max deal.. which is ****.. and I think Magic will give him a deal into his late 30s if it means Lakers are relevant again.

Personally, never been a fan of LeBron.. He's always been too diva and too soft in my opinion. He needs to rely on other players (Wade,Kyrie) to close out games in the last two minutes because he could never deliver in crunch time.
But having to commit long term max money to a 34 year old?? This just reeks of the Nash deal all over again. LeBron has logged too many minutes. He's going to start breaking down and get injured eventually. Pass..

He's not going to the Lakers. It has already been mentioned above that he's going to Toronto.

If i could look into the future and see that LBJ is gonna be Karl Malone in terms of longevity then id be real happy for him to be on the Lakers. It is a big "if" though...Lebron is entering new waters here and all it takes is one injury for it to fall apart.

And those who are concerned about LBJ creating the same lbj centric team culture in LA...dont think the laker brass nor like would allow it. The Lakers dont run like that. Even Kobe had to run the triangle.

He would be an idiot to leave Cleveland again. Every time he moves he loses more and more fans and takes another hit to his legacy. Especially if he goes to an entitled and ungrateful fan base like the Lakers.

You did the bad boy thing by leaving and winning rings with your boys. You came back to Cleveland and won them a title in a storybook ending. Now stay and finish your career there. You only have 3-4 seasons left anyway. As long as you're there, there won't be any shortage of stars and ring chasers willing to come and play with you. You can continue sleepwalking to the Finals and wait for GState to end their run or get taken out by another Western team. Best case scenario you win another ring or two. Worst case you don't but you retire as a hometown hero and one of the GOAT.

So you'd be willing to just give him title of best Raptor ever before he even did anything in that uniform?

I don't see the point of LeBron leaving Cleveland. I don't see a team he can go to that will put him squarely ahead of GS and the East is pretty much his regardless of where he plays. If they move Kyrie and Love for more complete players I think Cleveland will be in better shape to win it all.

Generational talent, though he may be, I don't want LeBron James in Staples Center as anything other than an opponent...or a Clipper.

That's not so bad, my sister recently asked me if LeBron plays for the raptors. We live in Toronto. She's not even a casual fan I guess.

Edit: screwed the quoting up probably.

Well Lebron doesnt have enough years to pass the accomplishments of Magic and Kareem in a Lakers uniform, but what pressure is there really? I mean you build a great team, you will probably get a title with Lebron in the next 3 years, ofcourse you need to somewhere in GS's radar, which Cleveland certainly wasn't last season.

He'll make more money in LA through endorsements and could probably kickstart a career in Hollywood - a perfect transition from the NBA.

He won Cleveland a ring, their fans should be happy given the city's lack of success in that department. It won't be like his move to Miami this time either.

If you're Lebron James why wouldn't you wanna maximise your quality of life by living in a better city?

More to confirm from WOJ:

With James refusing to commit to Cleveland beyond the coming season, and with the growing verdict that James is intrigued with pursuing a Los Angeles Lakers exit plan,
