Kanter and trash for Melo and Lee is a great deal, Kanter can get moved at the deadline. Or Kanter is young enough he might opt out. 34 year old Melo isn't opting out of $30+ Million.

Well someone isn't playing with a full deck here.

Lol relax. Your vendetta is obvious because you want him on the Rockets so bad.

I'm just commenting on objective reports. I have no horse in this race.

Tell you the truth I don't know if I really want Melo. There are too many Melo things we heard this past few weeks.
IDK if this is Knicks smoke screen trying to jack up Melo value or those team really want him.
I just feel there shouldn't be any discussion unless Melo say he's willing to waive his NTC for that team.

If all you're giving up is Ryan Anderson and some throw ins, then yes, you most certainly do want Melo. If nothing else you get out of Anderson's hideous contract early,

Anderson is a better shooter. Just afraid Melo wants to do iso and take the ball away from CP3 and Harden. His relationship with MDA isn't that good before.

Lol - Kanter, similar to JV, is a dead contract. No need for big man like that on that type of salary. He doesn't fit with Krystaps.

Will likely be Adams if this deal happens.

OKC is not letting go of Adams and the Knicks won't get a piece as good as Adams in a Melo deal.

I don't want OKC to get rid of Adams for a Melo rental. Same goes for Kanter. If they can do this w/o giving up those two guys I'd be all for it.

Wait, an OKC fan that desperately wants to keep Kanter?

I have seen it all

lol - it's more for non-basketball reasons - but I don't think he's a bad player, he's just overpaid - plus he's only 25 years old...

I don't desperately want to keep Kanter but he is really good against almost every team in the league but a couple. I would trade him for Carmelo in heartbeat but Kanter is really valuable to the Thunder.

When you factor in his contract, its hard to say he's valuable to anyone. He's been a net negative.

How would trading Kanter and McDermott/Abrines for melo make okc worse defensively?

Kanter and pieces for Melo makes a lot of sense for both sides. That OKC team would actually have a really good chance to push GSW

Nasty starting lineup!

The type of lineup that would put fear into the Warriors.

You can take Courtney Lee too!

And this is one of the reasons why the knicks suck every year.
Lee is fine. He always was fine. A good 2 way player who can be decisive on a good team.
But you want him gone. Because you think he is the problem(or one of the problems).
Build around porzingis. Support him with hernangomez and ntilikina as your future big 3. And keep lee as the veteran who will teach these guys one thing or two.
But it's the knicks. Always givin up the wrong players, always being impatient. Oh well.

So when the dubs go small... Adams stays in? Or does Anthony's legendary post defense strike fear in us?

Mixed feelings on this

I would think you pull the trigger for Kanter/McD/Chi 2nd or something similar if you're Presti. Would miss Kanter a lil for a few reasons, but gotta do what you gotta do I guess.

That isn't why he wants to trade lee. He wants to trade lee for more assets because the knicks aren't going to win anything for a few years at the very least and he is on the wrong side of 30.

I'm going to laugh so hard if Melo goes to OKC, then next year LeBron somehow joins up with Russ, PG13, Melo, and LeBron, and beats GS to bring a ring to OKC, not only a slap in the face to KD, but bringing a title for OKC.

I would hate LeBron to leave my Cavs again, but if this happened it would make it a lot more tolerable for me lol.
