Wait a second....

Is it at all possible to get out of the Knight contract if he was playing in an un-approved game? Don't the guys have limits on the types of extra curricular activities they can participate in?

Remember when Rondo hurt himself at the trampoline park and then lied about it? Of that one Jazz player who sprained his knee snowboarding and lied about it?

I know it's cruel, but if there is any way to claim that the game BK was playing in was an unapproved activity and gives us the ability to void his contract...come on...we gotta take it. Maybe use it as leverage for a buyout so we don't totally F him over.

That pro-league pic of Knight has him looking ripped and bigger across the shoulders for sure. If wins aren't needed don't trade him, waive or buy him out. Hold him and build him back up. He has nowhere to go but up. The bad part is, where we could have used him as salary ballast in a trade that took him to a better destination for him, instead he is now rehabbing his knee in PHX for the year.

I was 95% sure Mc'd wouldnt have done this trade, but it gives the 5% manic suns fan in me a sliver of relaxation. On the other side of the table, hope that means we are out of the "bring Kyrie to PLNT ORUNG phase"

We all had high hopes for Brandon Knight. Maybe we didn't all like the deal, but he was 23 and he was shooting 40% from 3 for Milwaukee. I'm not the only one who thought it was a good deal. I can't be the only one who was excited about BK's potential.

Other NBA players were playing. Wilson Chandler was one I saw.

Now we may trade unprotected picks for another 40% shooter who's 25, who plays similarly to Brandon Knight, albeit at a much higher level.

When the trade first happened I was like, sure that sounds great.. lets cash in on a mystery pick for a borderline allstar. I started to worry about when I read some buck fans opinions. I really started to worry when I watched about 2 of his games. Not even accounting his knee injury brandons basketball IQ has definitely put a cap on his potential. I don't think he would have gotten better even if he was a number 1 option somewhere.

Maybe they'll get Wiggins from Minnesota. Hard to accommodate four scorers. Maybe we won't do Bled and TJ for Kyrie. Maybe we will. Maybe French Frank and Melo. I don't know. All I know is JJ is off the table. My Suns fan conscience is clear if the trade happens for us.

Lets learn a lesson and trade protected picks only.

He was the number 1 option in Milwaukee. Giannis and Middleton were babies back then.

I can only imagine what 2019 will be like. BK will probably be in Orlando by that point.....or maybe John Wall's backup in Washington.

I think Gambo actually broke the news about Josh Jackson being in trade talks - or NOT being in trade talks. Not Ramona Shelburne

Second there is zero reason to stretch Knight. The suns really don't need cap space until the summer for two years. And in two years, as presently constructed, Bledsoe, Dudley and Chandler roll off - and only Booker is due an extension. In three years, Chriss and Bender would be up for extension. I guess at some point Warren is due but the Suns have space. With Knight - at worst pay him through 2019 and if you need to stretch him for the 19/20 season, it becomes a buyout or a stretch for like 14m over years

As for a trade - even though Gambo said was done - -the Cavs if they want veterans, young player and draft picks, here goes

Bledsoe, Chriss, the Heat pick, Millsap Chandler for

Kyrie, Frye, Shumpert and Jefferson

Cavs get the vet players that help this year, they get a young guy in Chriss, plus the Heat pick

Suns get Kyrie, Shumpert helps with Defense as with Ulis, Book and Kyrie, you need defense, Frye and Jefferson are expirings, and basically Chandler and Shumpert wash as both expire in 2019.

Plus, this deal saves the Cavaliers, if Gilbert wants, about 30m or more.

Wait, did Gambo say the Suns are out of the running for Kyrie or just that they won't include JJ?

Just that JJ is off the table. In his opinion, means Suns won't get Kyrie, but nothing official.

Wait, did Gambo say the Suns are out of the running for Kyrie or just that they won't include JJ?

Gambo just texted a source, somebody very high up with Cleveland sports (not sure if with the Cavs - hell it could be David Griffin or just a sports talk show host) - bust when Gambo texted him and said "No Josh Jackson in the deal" - the person texted back with "Next"

So Gambo made it seem like it was done

Gambo made it seem there are better offers to be had out there. But a team needs a young player with upside, veteran to help out and draft picks. Suns also have a fourth thing, room to take on cap to save Gilbert money

It might be done - but it might not be done . Who knows, I am just happy Josh Jackson isn't in the trade

And I still would prefer Bledsoe to the NYK, Irving to NYC and Frank N to the Suns
