Now that Jackson is off the table, I wish the Suns would just come out and say the same thing about their own draft picks too.

Make a final offer to the Cavs of Bledsoe, Warren, Chriss and '18 Miami pick for Kyrie and one bad contract.

Then use Kyrie to recruit Jimmy Butler to Phoenix when his contract is up in two years also.

I don't think the Suns want him since Reed/Ulis is likely better than him but if they did want him, I think he can be had for the Raptors 2nd rd pick.

This is a bit to process. Kyrie and Chandler together at the time that Kyrie asks to be traded. Bledsoe, Rose, and James playing together in Vegas. But Phoenix is not on Kyrie's "list" and James has steered players away from Cleveland this summer.

There is not real way to make sense of this.

I already know that I don't want to MAX Bledsoe in 2 years.

We already know that we can't get a lottery pick for him. Getting Kyrie for him would be the best we can do value wise.

I'm totally cool with test driving Kyrie for 2 years. He actually might be worth a max.

Could a Bledsoe/Irving/Nitilkina trade already be setup, but since Nitilkina cant be traded till August 4, the Cavs are just exploring other options till then?

I hadn't really thought about Knicks trades without Melo but it could work if Knicks and Cavs add bad contracts and a lot of draft picks as sweeteners. And with the way things are going in Cleveland lately, an unprotected 2021 Cavs pick could end up being really valuable.

I know that Noah contract is gross but that's a pretty nice haul. Then we stay committed to the timeline and eventually have cap space to add a final piece.

I don't think other players necessarily view this as him not getting the fame or usage he wants. I think most players realize Lebron is priming the team to bail and Irving wanting out before the dumpster is set on fire seems completely fair. I don't think these stars that are all demanding trades are going to look down on Irving for demanding a trade.

And I also don't think it's fair to simply say we won't compete right away if we get him so what's the point. By that logic we never should have traded for Bledsoe in the first place. And the Suns don't appear to have any interest in trading Jackson. Otherwise the trade would already be complete I feel. I think its a matter of would you rather resign Bledsoe and Warren to large contracts and hope our current youth turns into stars(while also having to find a way to pay them all), or would you rather consolidate a few pieces to get an upgrade at PG. Despite what people are saying in this thread, Irving IS an upgrade over Bledsoe. Talentwise at least. Despite his short comings he's still the better player. Now arguing that he doesn't fit our team make-up is completely fair and valid.

I personally would probably rather not get Irving but try to facilitate (while sending Bledsoe to Cleveland) a trade that nets us a young PG that fits our rosters timeline.

The reason we'd need to contend for, at the very least, the playoffs right away with Irving is because he will be an unrestricted free agent in just 2 years. Trading for him, losing games and then losing him for nothing as a free agent would be a complete disaster.

And I agree that Irving is more talented than Bledsoe, but I don't know that his talent translates to winning games when he isn't being lifted up by one of the greatest players in history. The stats so far say "no".

I'm for consolidating our assets somewhere down the line (and for moving Warren before having to pay him 15+ million a year, I like the guy buy he is too limited to throw a ton of money at) but I think Irving is fools gold.

If it does end up being a 3 way trade with the Knicks then it reeeeeally sucks that they took Ntilikina (who I think is a likely bust) over Dennis Smith.

You take those cards and put them right back in your hand. We don't need to give up Warren AND Chriss for Kyrie. If they won't take Bledsoe, Dudley, and a Miami pick they can shove it. They won't get a better offer anywhere else. Take it or leave it.

Maybe I'm an idiot but I think I'd be fine with the team we have going into the season. We won't be in the playoffs this year but I'm still excited to watch our young guys grow together. How many teams in the league have this many young guys that are oozing with potential? And don't have bad contracts or toxic players? This is an exciting young core and in my opinion we have the perfect mix of vets on our team.

I just have a hard time with Minnesota offering Wiggins now that they have Teague. Plus, Thibs likes defense and Teague is better

So, I think the Suns have a real chance as they can offer veteran help and either a young guy like Chriss or that Heat pick

If I was the Cavs, I'd do it 12/15 with Teague and Wiggins.

Oh heck yes! They would have Teague and Wiggins for the last four months of the season peaking for the playoffs. I am saying I don't think the Twolves should do it - unless they can't afford Wiggins and KAT soon. But if the Cavs were truly offered Wiggins and Teague for Kyrie and Frye for the salaries to match, I would do that deal yesterday.

Apparently Towns and Butler are pushing for the Wolves to do it.

Kyrie doesn't need to be a superstar. We were open to trading Bledsoe for a lottery pick, so if it's Bledsoe, Warren & Miami pick, consider it two picks and Warren for Kyrie. That's a steal for a top 6/7 PG...ALL STAR...who is 25 years old on a reasonable contract.

Kyrie fills a gap that Bledsoe didn't...youth, talent and upside at the PG position. What other All Star PGs 25 or younger do we envision acquiring in the next few years? Next's year's draft is stacked with Bigs.
