I could maybe live with Chriss who is pretty raw, but does have a lot of upside and is a great athlete instead of Jackson, but I would at the least demand their 2018 pick from Miami that is already top 7 protected maybe let them make it top 10 protected so they have a 3 pick chance of retaining it.

I'd probably ask for, at least, the Suns pick unprotected this year. If they're keeping Jackson, the pick consideration should go up. Let them think Kyrie will take that team to the playoffs in the West.

Some interesting tidbits here. Seems like Denver & Phoenix are the two most aggressive teams:

So, we traded him to the New Jersey Nets?
Or is he just drunk, on his way home from a karaoke bar and decided to troll LeBron?
Kyrie most of the time when he shoots starts with the ball and then dribbles a while then shoots. -statistical analysis from a 'longtime' Cavs fan (June 2017)

There is plenty of time so the Cavs don't have to jump at the first offer, and I don't know how the Rose signing affects this in any way.

As a Celtics fan, please don't trade him to the Nets.

Pretty sure by home, he'd mean the Knicks. The Cavs want a blue chip prospect and a guy who can make the team better, so dealing Kyrie and Shump for Nkilitina and Melo makes sense.
Then again, he might just be talking about flying home from somewhere.

What it says is nothing about what Cleveland will do with his contract. He is no longer a person to them, just a contract that is being moved. He intentionally put that out there to make people talk about it like it means something.
He has zero control over where he goes and Neither NY nor Brooklyn(esp Brooklyn) have anything the Cav's would accept in return for KI without a 3rd team involved that did.
I still do not believe the Cav's would or will ever consider trading for Carmelo (unless it's for Love & I wouldn't do that either) despite the fact that Moving Irving and another player there would get it done for certain.
Melo is not what this roster needs,we will take him gladly for more scoring if he was bought out,& KLove is still on the roster but I think it is fair to say that a'int happening either.
The narcissistic arrogance of KI is no more evident than in clips like the snapchat. He actually believes he is the grand pooh-bah , but he is not and will never be the Land pooh bah either even without Lebron James there.
Having confidence and delivering on the court are all substantial reasons to take pride in one's accomplishments, but anyone who basks in the media attention of a trade request like this has got to have more than a few screws loose.

^^^ yep, they are not trading Butler or KAT , and they are not even in the conversation if they think we want someone like Teague instead of Wiggins .
Wiggins with Dieng riding shotgun I can live with despite not being that high on Dieng's contract duration. His PER dropped a lot with KAT's arrival as well which is a little bit of a concern, but he seems like a highly serviceable big and would easily be in the rotation even if Love and Thompson are still on the Cav's.

Yeah, I'm trying to reroute Dieng for a TPE (Bulls?) asking for a pick, and going at Bradley hard after this.

Yeah I'd be pretty happy to get wiggins back. I do feel like relationships would need a bit of repairing and he'd eventually leave us given what happened when we drafted him.

Bradley and Middleton are kinda my ideal guys to bring in but I feel Detroit probably won't part with Ab. They'll at least want to see how the team performs first.
I don't think svg is about a rebuild and probably wants to compete in the playoffs this season. He let his favourite player walk and traded for ab in his place.

Which is why I think you've got to get a pick out of any deal so that Shump & a decent pick are available around the deadline.

Re: Kyrie asked to be traded
Most other team threads seem to think the Cavs will get fleeced. I don't think so at all. This is a player from a winning roster not one cashing out and rebuilding. If he was not under contract for 2 more seasons it would be different and if the general consensus is correct that his value is that diminished & all we get are low ball offers we need to keep him ,things will be tough for a awhile, but I highly doubt that they wouldn't figure it out,as the divide between Irving and this org is vastly exaggerated in my opinion.
Taking chump change just to get rid of him now is not a man move at all. It's a chumps paradise.
I think however it is a foregone conclusion we will get a deal done asap that is at minimum one that improves our chances against GSW at best gets us a fringe all star and draft picks.

They hope the Cavs will get fleeced. They won't. The only thing that's less likely than Kyrie coming back to start the season, is the Cavs taking a garbage offer for him.
