Whether you think Bickley is "dialed in" or not he says has a source with Cleveland saying the Suns are offering Bledsoe plus both Bender AND Chriss. If you care they start talking about it at 13:45-ish..

- If he plays well he's locked into below market salary

But if this is the case it looks like Len will get a similar deal and we'll target a star C in the future.
Clearly, he signed for that because (a) he didn't have a better offer, or (b) he had a slightly better offer but wanted to stay in Phx. Either way it was his decision. Great job by the FO.

Chriss averaged something like 17 and 7 after the all star break. In the real NBA. That compares to Kyrie at the same age. That is more than a throw-in.
Really?
I think those are his numbers per 36, not too bad but I think he'd foul out before then

Re: Trade & FA Ideas & Discussion
Kyrie is a flashy new toy. Everyone wants a flashy new toy. It's easy to get caught up in that kind of luster. I certainly have.
At the end of the day, I think it comes down to the fact that there are no great offers. If one were on the table, the Cavs would've took it by now. They're just playing the waiting game until somebody comes correct.
I'm guessing we made an offer and it wasn't that great. I still think we're the best they can do, but I say let's not lose any more sleep over it. It'll be what it'll be. I'm not going to twiddle my thumbs until December waiting for a Kyrie trade. I got other stuff to do.
Let's just be happy for him if he goes to another team. He doesn't need to be here, not on the second worst team in the league. Realistically, there's not a huge chance Kyrie stays in Phoenix after two years.
It's a nice, flashy toy, but who am I kidding? It's probably a pipe dream.
Ah, well. Least we got Book and JJ and (maybe) DeAndre Ayton or Michael Porter in a year's time.
Our future's pretty bright. I can sleep at night knowing that by 2022 or so, we'll be pretty darned good. Five years from now, other teams will be sweating us. I'd like to speed that up a bit, but this is probably the way it goes.
No tears over Kyrie. Maybe we still get him. If not, no big deal. #trustthetimeline

Yeah they're still saying at this juncture that Cleveland won't budge if Jackson isn't included.
Maybe something like Bledoe, Jackson and Chriss is what they want? Not sure I'd do that, maybe if Irving was willing to signal he will re-sign here I would.
However, if we can work it to Bledsoe, Chriss and Bender for Irving I think we'd be insane not to take that.

What about Warren?
I think Warren's reputation around the league is he's not your 2017 ideal SF. He can score in every way except hitting 3's.
Given the interest McD had in Irving before the draft I think he'd offer 2/3 of Warren, Chriss or Bender plus the Miami picks. At which point do those other "pieces/picks" equal the value of JJ in Cleveland's mind?

Why would we trade Chriss/Bender for a chance to max out Kyrie? Honestly the worst trade I have ever seen.
Neither player should be offered in ANY trade. Let Kyrie rot in Cleveland when Lebron bails on them.

Kyrie doesn't take us to the playoffs, probably not an all star in the west for the suns until they start winning. Bled, TJ, Miami pick. If they get a better offer then good for them.

Burns tries to bring things up and Gambo just shuts them down right away. Burns even tried to ask him if his info was before or after it was known that Kyrie has demanded out, and Gambo wouldnt answer and instead jumps to another one of his points. "All of my Cleveland people in the know say its done, over with". Then when he is asked if the Cavs can somehow just hold on to Irving or is everything too far gone, Gambos response is "Well, JJ Adande thinks that Irving stays in Cleveland!!!".
He also had no clue what Nash netted us....he said a couple of picks...and then said..."what did they end up...like Archie Goodwin or something?" Had zero idea that pick is still out there and will be conveyed next year unprotected. If you are really a Phx sports radio guy with Suns stuff, and had any inkling of anything, you'd think he'd know what pick we traded for Knight and that it is still out there.
I actually think he has some decent sources now, but it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't know much at all either. It wouldn't totally shock me if he just made stuff up.

I could do 2/3 of Warren, Chriss or Bender plus the Miami picks. If they want more than that, I'd probably hang up the phone.

Bledsoe, Jackson, and Chriss is too much even if Kyrie was willing to re-sign. Honestly, people here so vastly underrate Bledsoe. The gap between him and Kyrie is not all that significant. I would hesitate to include either Jackson or Chriss, let alone both, with Bledsoe for Kyrie.

Exactly. Keep dreaming Gilbert. Bledsoe/Dudley/pick.

Well, if you listen, it's not Gilbert...it's us saying we are willing to include both of them but Cleveland isn't interested in them. So their fans are probably saying..."Nice try McDonough!

Both Miami picks and 2 of Warren/Chriss/Bender, and of course Bledsoe? Pardon me, but that's nuts.

My take:
-This refutes everything that Gambo has been saying. Talks are still on going and the Kryie to Phoenix plan is NOT dead.
- Im guessing from Bickley's Cleveland "Source", Once we took Jackson off the table and told Cleveland to try again, this was Cleveland's next idea (Bender & Chriss).
- When it comes to negotiations it works like this: Team A calls Team B about a player. Team A asks "What do you want for him". Team B replies with what they want. Team A says no, we cant do that, how about this. Team B says no, we insist on Jackson. Team A says, no can do Jackson isnt being traded, find a better deal elsewhere. Team B calls back with a different idea. Now its up to Team A to take the new trade idea, or refute it with something else. Eventually the two teams will settle somewhere in the middle. Its a game of back and forth and seeing who will flinch first. Cleveland has to trade Irving, while we dont have to trade anyone, so more than likely Cleveland (Team B) will flinch first and give in at some point.
- All these "reports" are coming from people in Cleveland. Why? Its because they want teams to up their offers. The Cav's are the ones leaking all these supposed offers from us.

Did you listen to Bickley? He said Cleveland had no interest in Chriss or Bender when the Suns offered it.

One Miami pick. I copied and pasted DD's sentence and didn't realise he included both Miami picks.
