A fan of the team but rooting for them to lose?

What if today's game improved the value of a Estrada / Morales dump off?
I don't see the point in cheering for losses until at least the deadline.

Yeah, I definitely wasn't cheering for Estrada to implode, heh. The ideal game is one where we get 15 hits, with conveniently timed GIDPs, and lose 4-3 when whoever is serving as our 7th inning guy of the week gets tagged for a couple.
As for Morales, it'd take a heck of a lot more than a few games to get someone to take the money remaining on his deal, unfortunately. Bat-only DH types aren't in vogue at the moment, never mind those that aren't hitting. He probably needs to mash for a full calendar year to be able to move for anything, and to extract a bit of value likely would still require that we eat some of his money.

I'm all for getting younger and better, but I'm not for losing games and tanking this season. If we were to trade a player, we better get someone back who is younger and can play now in the majors, and the team has control over the next several years.
We could be looking at a 4 game winning streak today!
White Sox next. This could be interesting...
