We should stop the Dre "The great post up experiment" and just let him loose with his own touches. Literally no one is and has not been afraid of Dre's post up game. They prefer it over our crappy excuse of a motion offense that sometimes rears its head.

Andre can barely shoot a free throw let alone a face up jumper with NBA level D.

Andre should only touch the ball on the pick and roll and when he scoops up a rebound. If he had an ounce of hustle he would be a force. Everyone rags on his effort because that is the attribute that would put him and the Pistons into a new category.

OK, you can't lead the league in rebounds two years in a row without "an ounce of hustle". That's pure hyperbole (standard around here).

He just only really seems engaged in areas that he's naturally gifted at (rebounds, deflections/steals). As a team defender he almost seems so lost in his own head that he can't react in time. Like he never is really confident in where he should be, so he kind of half commits to everything and ends up in no man's land.

Honestly, I don't really care about his offense. If we had a better offensive system with more talented offensive players it would take care of itself. They're force feeding him because we don't really have a ton of consistent offensive weapons. Especially last year with Reggie hurt. You're left with only Tobias, who excels when he lets the offense come to him, and KCP/Morris who are both extremely streaky guys who hang out on the perimeter.

Hopefully all of these new shooters open up the spacing, and we don't have to force post-ups with Andre nearly as much this year.... It all depends on Reggie I imagine.

Maybe someone a little more vocal like Bradley can help him out defensively as well.
