Andrew Wiggins

I'm really surprised to read how some Wolves fans are reluctant to give a full max to Wiggins. I think the Wolves organization easily gives Wiggins max, but he is definitely somebody I would easily give max to if I were the Hawks

As touted as that draft class was supposed to be, it has been quite underwhelming. Are any from this group currently considered the best player on their teams? Someone you build around? I guess Embiid but he can't stay on the floor.
A 'max contract' just doesn't mean what it used to. It's paying a guy you drafted on his potential still to come so you don't lose him.
I'm just glad we got Dennis locked in at his current price.

This is the flaw in drafting teenagers. They aren't even fully formed as players, yet teams have to decide whether to invest hundreds of millions based on potential.

CLE fans had the same debate a couple of years back with Kyrie. (18 months ago fans were insisting Cavs were better with Dellavedova starting over Kyrie).

Wiggins looks damn good from here.

But when your team isn't winning...grass always looks greener elsewhere.

I think the bucks and wolves bit the bullet and give max to wig and parker but if some how the Hawks are able to get one of the two, it will make the Dwight, Millsap, Crawford trades look like a brilliant move by Schlenk

I like Wiggins but do ageee with Bird that the 2014 draft class is less spectacular than advertised so far. If I were the Wolves, I might think about a Wiggins/Kyrie swap. Personally, I think a Kyrie/Butler/Towns trio would be the kryptonite for taking down cupcake and the Scrubs. Plus, that trade benefits us as the Cavs have to retool in 2019 possibly and our pick could be a late lottery one.

How far off is Wiggins from becoming an actual superstar talent? Is it possible that he achieves that status?
Some may classify him as a legit star player but I believe it's questionable. No matter what the case is, Wiggins will receive a max contract, but I'm curious to see if Minnesota can acquire Irving without giving him up.
