New Nike Jerseys

Post#1 » by proscout » Tue Aug 1, 2017 5:04 pm

Nuggets teasing the new jerseys and then saying they'd be streaming a live announcement. I was hoping it would be the new jersey reveal but looks like it was just an announcement for the sponsor patch (which is Western Union). Not too bad, IMO. Not great, but not terrible looking.

During the event they said next week there would be a jersey reveal, so looks like we might have to wait a bit longer. But from the pics, looks like the collar is navy blue and gold, which means maybe going away from powder blue?? I like the look from what they've shown.

Seems pretty silly to introduce the new sponsor and logo...on an old jersey. Nuggets front office at their finest

Anyone know how much the two year sponsorship for the logo cost Western Union? I'm just curious because it is going to be one of the most prominent sponsorships displayed.

My guess would be 2 year $2M but it'd be interesting to see what these new jersey sponsorships are being sold for.

I'd assume more than that. I'd think WM might've got 2 mil worth of publicity just from everyone talking about how much of a let down that press conference was haha

The way they throw money at players, that's peanuts. It's about the cost of a bottom end veteran or two assistant coaches. They probably have to pay their attorney more than that just to review the contract and do the negotiating.

It's got to be on the low end of that number with the limited exposure the Nuggets receive...and I thought I'd read the patches won't be on the Nike Jersey's sold commercially. I also didn't know Western Union was all that relevant anymore, maybe for international transactions I guess.

No doubt the Nuggets take will be on the low end of that - but it just shows the avarice of NBA owners. They'll throw $40m to a player for one year of play and then get excited because they get $4m in an advertising gimmick and then turn around and complain because fans don't want to show up and pay ridiculous prices for seats where they also have to pay ridiculous prices for food that is predominantly sub-par. But that's the American way. <sigh>

Looks like we see the full Jersey's tomorrow, but you can see the majority of them in the video on their facebook page.

We'll see 2 of 4 today. Slight changes to the white's, a bit more to the blue's...Nike will unveil two others closer to the season that have the potential to be full re-designs.

Yea but talking about trades that don't materialize gets old...we need other topics to discuss.

New Nike Jerseys

I’ll add a pic to this comment soon but first impressions...meh. Too Pacers for me. I like the navy but the powder sticking around the lettering doesn’t seem to mesh well, I guess they’re just trying to keep my screen name relevant.

If Nike and Josh don’t put out a skyline in the next two jerseys upcoming I’ll be floored, they’d make a fortune off that jersey, way more than that dumb-ass WU patch will pay them.

Should have been rainbow skyline with Skittles as the sponsor, the jersey sales would have been redonkulous.

Should've made them Golden and had McDonald's Nuggets as the sponsor.

i like the new blue, so im happy for that upgrade. but disappointed they barely changed anything. its like the nuggets FO does as little work as possible to anything not game related.

really need the skylines back. and the rainbows. unique and awesome.
