Phoenix is pretty guard heavy and have both Chriss and Bender developing at the forward position. There was rumor the Suns were looking to move Dudley to New Orleans for a couple of 2nd rounders. A deal like that might work assuming the teams are interested.

If Amico is correct in his reporting - and I believe he is Cleveland Cavs based - Melo to Cleveland still an opportunity. And if Melo does want to win a title - I think getting to Cleveland he has a better chance than Houston. At this point, if OKC is the three seed this year - Houston might not even make the finals. Cleveland with Melo and Bledsoe - probably makes the finals. Melo as 6th man, not too bad.

Kyrie / Frye for Melo and two picks in the first round works straight up

If the Cavs want Bledsoe in addition to Irving

Cleveland: Melo, Dudley and Bledsoe - maybe a pick from Knicks

NYK: Frye and Kyrie

Suns: Iman, RJ, Felder, Taveras from Cavs, Frank N from Knicks, Waive Jefferson, Taveras if need be and Felder and maybe a first rounder from the Cavs

I am sure there is a way to get Love - but that would totally hose the Suns cap three years out with Knight so prefer Bledsoe for Frank N and cap filler, and Cavs first rounder

If you could get Ntilikina and 1st from NY, that would be even better.

Haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but so far he has said Miami talks went nowhere, and talks with the Suns have been "getting traction" and are "serious" in that sense. Says he believes and the Cavs beleive they (the Cavs) have the upper hand and "hold the cards" because they have the piece everyone wants (Irving) and they don't have to trade him.

They want young guy and first round pick.

Three realistic spots:
1) PHX - Cavs and Suns have been pretty deep into talks (Bledsoe and Paul and James Jones connections cited). Says we want Irving because we "do not draw flies" and we need fans in seats. Thinks this is the number one spot. Thinks we give up Josh, Bledsoe, AND a first round pick. He think we are a "late lottery team" with Irving. HA! Thinks Cavs would also be open to Bled/Warren/Chriss/First rounder. Apparently they REALLY want the pick
2) Wolves - apparently he says the TWolves have a "love" for Irving.
3) Kings - Fox and draft picks

Thinks this situation could go all the way to training camp. He thinks unless a deal "knocks their socks off", Cavs will not trade him.

He says no way Knicks get him. Doesn't seem like Cavs want Melo (other than LeBron).

A GM told him a surprise team like Philly might jump out as the favorite.

So honestly, no on knows anything

Done with Kylie, send him to NY. Not open to trading our pick or Jackson. Give us frank for Eric and call it a summer.

The "not trading jackson for a proven all star" talk on the main board is hilarious. Cavs fans are really giving it to us for "overvaluing" a non-proven prospect, but hey.. all is forgiven if we can allow them to have him

Amico has said that this trade can be delayed until training camp.

Altman is a new GM and he wants to be sure, so he is gonna wait for a good offer.

I just don't see Josh Jackson being dealt. They could have dealt him yesterday. I would be ticked - Josh Jackson was a great pick at 4. Suns need to keep him. They need that guy. Heck, I think they need him more than Kyrie

Bledsoe, Warren and Chriss plus the Heat pick is too much

I have lowered my offered

Bledsoe, Jones Jr or Reed, Chriss or Warren or the Heat pick - and if they want us to take Frye - that's fine

If they want veterans to help win this year - I am guessing Dudley helps more than Shumpert; Tyson Chandler helps more than Shumpert or Frye (jeff greene and korver really make him expendable). Not saying the Cavs take both Dudley and Chandler but am guessing Dud or Chandler going, Shumpert coming back helps them in 2018. Frye comes to Suns to be the veteran

Cavs don't have too many options - Irving will be a Suns for a very good price

The Cavs are being so stubborn right now. They won't have a better offer than a package of Bledsoe, Miami 1st, Bender/Chriss,.

Just pull the trigger already Cleveland and stop delaying the inevitable.

Unless there is a surprise team - they won't have a better offer. And maybe they can roll with LeBron and Kyrie together - seems like lack of harmony would be a big deal

Bledsoe, the pick, Chriss/Bender - good deal for them. Seems like that's a better deal than what Chicago got for Butler. I didn't think Indy got enough for George either. But each team does have their own agenda and for Cleveland, that means making it to the Finals for the 4th year in a row - Bledsoe probably helps that more than say Dragic or even Jamal Murray. I think he would be a seamless fit

personally, I would much rather give up chriss than bender. the good news is anytime a rumor comes up with the suns and this front office it never happens. McD doesn't seen to roll that way

Who gives the CAV's the best chance of beating the Warriors?

Bledsoe/Irving

Or

Melo and Derek Rose

If a proposed deal is Irving for Bender and Bledsoe, it works in the trade machine.
But if we're talking about taking back Frye or Shump, then we're talking about needing to add more salary back their way. So Dudley and/or Chandler would most def be on the move. I'd prob rather swap Shump and Dudley since they have the same number of years left and about the same contract.

So if we're gonna trade Bender and Bledsoe, then I would prefer we do this:

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y97p3ldh

Cavs in: Bledsoe, Bender, Dudley, Chandler, Miami 2018 pick.
Cavs Out: Irving, Frye Shumpert

Suns in: Irving, Shumpert, Frye
Suns Out: Bledsoe, Bender, Dudley, Chandler, Miami 2018 pick.

Shumpert replaces Dudley and is a more valuable, tradeable piece.
Frye replaces Chandler and gets us out from his final year.

This is the type of move that would then allow us to attack next years free agency before Irving commands a ton more money (along with Booker and Warren).

Doesn't Dudley have a no trade clause?

I would think the Cavs would prefer Chriss over Bender since Chriss seems more ready to help them.

I find the Kyrie trade thread in the GB very comical. I don't understand how some of the Cavs fans are saying the Suns won't get Irving without Jackson or Booker, they got better offers out there. Literally, no team is offering jack squat for Kyrie. You take the best deal available or you go into the season with a disgruntled star. Going into the season with a disgruntled star could easily create a domino effect where the locker room is divided, said star behaves poorly and parties every night. Possibly risk another injury. Yeah, it's far fetched but playing on a basketball team that is divided is not fun, there is a lot of tension and that friction will break the team apart.

Part of me wants to trade for Irving just so we can see what value was returned for him, and then part of me wants to sit back and enjoy the popcorn and watch the Cavs fall apart.

Only like 4 players in the league got it I believe. Melo, Bron, Wade... and uh Harden maybe. IDK really. I think Dudley was kidding.
