Chargers injury tracker - 1st and 2nd round picks out

The Chargers were one of three teams to get an "A" in my draft grades. I loved their class. First-round pick Mike Williams was my top-ranked receiver, and second-round pick Forrest Lamp was my top-ranked guard. Now Lamp (torn ACL) is out for the season, and Williams (back) is out indefinitely. It's a tough blow to a team that dealt with big injuries last season. I thought they could be much better in 2017.

It's almost like I'm being punk'd every day.

Forrest Lamp started every game in his 4 year college career.

Damn, that team really does seem cursed! Well, I wouldn't advise it but you could always become a fulltime Cards fan. Heck, you even have the relocation excuse in your back pocket now . On a serious note, that's very unfortunate. The Hawks lost Malik McDowell because of an ATV accident. He suffered a head injury & fractures to his face.

They should've went straight defense. Just make powerful that side of the ball.

OT, but watching LT giving his HOF speech is frikkin' awesome.

He was so damn good.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

He was terrific. The Dallas Morning News had a good write up on him a few weeks back and talked about "Tomlinson Farms". I'm glad he shared that one. It needed to be.

I don't know which Chargers player/fan/coach pissed off the football Gods, but they've had it hard. I think Mike Williams is going to be an absolute STUD in the NFL, I was really excited to watch him play this season.

That sucks man.

They have to have the worst luck with injuries the past few years that I've ever seen.

I deserve some of the blame for Keenan Allen last year though - I drafted him, and it ended up being the worst fantasy football year I've ever had.

I think I had him too, on at least one team, but knew to pick up Tyrell Williams right away and also had decent depth I think.

Korey Toomer started his NFL career as fifth-round selection for the Seattle Seahawks in 2012, so he's intimately familiar playing in Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator's Gus Bradley's system.

Toomer's teammate Nick Dzubnar spent his entire college career playing in a similar 4-3 defensive scheme at Cal-Poly. Nick Dzubnar had a notable rookie season for the Chargers in 2015 but missed the final 12 games last year with an ACL injury.

Both will get an opportunity to replace injured teammate Denzel Perryman for the starting middle linebacker job, Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn said.

Perryman suffered a left ankle injury that required surgery against the Seahawks in the preseason opener last week. He will miss at least two months, which means the Miami product will not be available when the regular season starts in September.

People thought leaving San Diego might lift the Chargers injury curse but nope :(
