Fun fact: one time I got to go on the court and do this little race with my gf against another couple between the end of the 3rd/start of the 4th. We had these big costumes on that weighed a ton. Anyway I lost to the other dude in the race like a beta male but it was still fun to do. Last thing on the bucket list is to do one of those half court shot contests.

I'm jealous! A buddy and I got selected to do something like that one game. They brought us to the tunnel and put us in the suits. We were to go if either team called a timeout in the final four minutes of the third quarter. Unfortunately they didn't, so we didn't get to go on the court.

Haha damn... it seems like they always call them too. That sucks. Did you show up early to the game? Just wondering, because mine was the only time they'd ever asked me to participate in anything and I've been to a bunch of games since around 2002. But this time was the only time I think I had ever been there when the doors hadn't even opened up yet. So me and my gf waited like ten minutes in line outside the door for them to open, and some lady pulled me aside and asked if we'd be interested. Anything similar?

I got called down once during a game against Miami. Can't remember the year, maybe 2011ish? Me and a buddy had to roll a tire down the court and make a layup faster than the other team. We won! We each got a $400 gift certificate for tires from Tire Kingdom. We had gotten to the game super early and were in our seats in the upper bowl when someone came up and asked if we wanted to do it.

400$ gift card? Wow that could come in handy. Basically a free set of tires. Even though I looked like an unathletic dork when I went, I know the guy who beat me got the same reward. One of those generic Magic shirts they put in the t-shirt cannon that's always at least two sizes too small.

Hey everyone!

I guess you already know my name. I just turned 23 years old and I'm a Portuguese graphic designer (born to Angolan parents) who's been an NBA fan for as long as I can remember and a Magic fan since around '10, when Vince Carter joined the team - my favorite player as a kid. Since then, I've had the pleasure of visiting Orlando twice.

My first contact with a Magic forum was at TrueBlueNation, but I'm also enjoying RealGM a lot with all the different opinions and other team's fans coming here to chit chat.

I didn't particularly enjoy my experience as a freelance graphic designer so I decided to create my own website and YouTube channel to talk about my 3 favorite sports: Football (Soccer), Basketball and Mixed Martial Arts. It's been a fantastic experience with a lot of encouraging words from people all over the world, but I also have a lot of challenges. At the moment I'm putting together a studio with better recording equipment to give the people at home the best experience I can.

You can help me by subscribing, liking or following on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

Hey!

Names Eric, 24. Currently trying to right some things in my life after screwing up during my teen years due to laziness.

Technically been a Magic fan since '01 because of T-Mac but never started to fully understand what was going on until around 03-04. Probably why Nelson and Turk mean so much to me since they were here during the times I started to really get into the NBA. Especially Nelson since he was a rookie. My favorite things to do outside of watching the Magic (obviously) is play video games (Kingdom Hearts is the greatest no matter what anyone else says!), watch anime, and watch Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, and of course my other favorite sports teams, Rays, Lions, Lightning.

I've been on this site since around 2007 but didn't join until about a year or two later because I was really shy up until I was about 16 years old (when I joined) and really wanted to talk about basketball with people as I only had my Brother to talk to about it. But he was never as passionate about the Magic as I am. Glad I did end up making an account, cause I still think it's fun to post every once and awhile and read up on opinions from fellow Magic fans, even if I do disagree with a lot of the doom and gloom around here.

My favorite time as a Magic fan was obviously that run we had in '09, not only because of the success of the Magic that I had never been able to experience before, but because the Tampa Bay Rays actually made the World Series for the first time in history in '08. Just before the start of the Magic's '08-09 year. I hope that one day both teams can get back there at some point. Thankfully, the Rays have a good shot this year at making the playoffs. Now just need the Magic to show more improvement.

Fun fact: The "Dalic" part of my name was something my brothers and I made up in '04 because I had just gotten Xbox Live to play Halo 2 online but we only had enough money to get the one account (I was the only one that paid) so we decided to blend our names into one. The "ic" part is the last two letters of Eric. Anyway, they eventually got there own accounts and I decided to keep the account for myself and the name "Dalic" has stuck with me ever since. Some friends even call me that and refuse to call me by my real name.

I Vince Tayag a Magic fan since the NBA expansion in 1989. I like the nature of a new team starting to find its own identity. I am from the Philippines, born in Manila. I love NBA since the Supersonics were battling Elvin Hayes for the championship. But I am a true Magic fan from the day they rolled out with their out of this world black pinstripes and big stars on the shorts. This is my team I will be rooting win or loose. Its been a rollercoaster ride since Shaq and Penny. Then Dwight... now with Aaron, Elfrid, Hezongia and Isaac we are again beggining our way up. Looking forward to the new season ahead with a need of a playoof experience. Go Magic!

Matt, 29. Man, I was young when I first joined. I remember complaining about the refs a lot.

I work in a hospital. I sit with specific types of patients, like elderly dementia patients or suicide risks, and ensure their safety. I've seen quite a lot in my time doing this job.

For music, I like power metal/symphonic metal. There's so many names for metal music, and people love to fight about it. Anyway, my avatars are typically just album art from bands I like that I think look cool. I'll make a new one and move off Photobucket soon. Maybe.

I'm into RPG video games, Magic: The Gathering, and fantasy novels. On an unrelated note, I'm single. And looking. So if you know anyone, tell them I'm available.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Hello my friends!. Long time follower here. I just turned 40.
I live in Orlando, I am an MD practicing in Several cities around Central Florida. I went to UF and completed my fellowship there. I was lucky to be present at the time UF won both, the NCAA Basketball and Football championship.
I was lucky to meet and treat several players that eventually became profesional players on my tenure at UF. of All the players I met there , the most difficult was Noah. Not because he was a bad kid, but because he was too emotional/passionate and didn't followed medical recommendations well.
I was a Magic fan since the McGrady days and My favorite player was Horace Grant.
I moved to Orlando in 2005 and that is when a became a real fan. I was a season ticket holder until after the Dwight Era.
I enjoy this forum very much and it is the first thing I like to read with my morning coffee. I also follow the Truebluenation forum

Hey.

I'm from Brazil and my english isn't very good, so it's very hard for me to express what I really want to say.

Anyway, I'm 31 and I've picked the Orlando Magic as a team in 1995, but I wasn't jumping in the bandwagon, I was only 9 years old and I had never seen the team actually play, I've just seen at that time an Magic cap and I've enjoyed the design, so I thought "people like the Chicago Bulls, I'm going for this blue team, I like blue!". First time I've seen the team playing was in 1997 and I've became a 11 year old Penny Hardaway big time fan.

Here is pretty hard to watch games, it was a bit easier in the Dwight era since the team used to be in the playoffs. Country is going through financial problems and I can't afford League Pass right now (thankfully I'm not unemployed, but it's hard anyway).

From 2012 to 2016 I got a bit bored of watching basketball, but I got back to playing pick up games every week so the love for the game in all ways (playing, watching games and gaming in NBA 2k17) is completely back. Though it's a shame that the Warriors are so overpowered, they take away the fun, we alreay know that they are going to be the champions unless some key piece gets injuried. It's pretty to watch them play, but as soon as a blowout starts, the interest goes down.
Studying English, please correct my mistakes if possible :)
