Arsenal beat Everton 3-1 to finish the season in 5th with 75 points, 1 behind Liverpool. Koscielny sent off in the 14th minute suspends him for the FA Cup Final vs. Chelsea.

Wenger gets a 2-year contract extension. I don't agree with it, I think now was the time to implement somebody new. It could be that there wasn't an upgrade out there based on feelers, I guess we'll see in the summer if that was the case. Certainly, if Simeone, Allegri, etc., take new jobs, I'm not going to be pleased. Wenger does deserve some props on switching formations, 343 injected something into the team but I feel for it to work, they have to keep players like Oxlade-Chamberlain and Sanchez, just 2 of the guys rumored to be on the move.

It's a shame we couldn't grab him a couple of seasons ago but I'm really pleased about this one.

Good signing but I still think we need another CM because cazorla/ramsey/wilshere can not be relied upon and if we play a struggle midfield again we're going to drop points left and right.

I've been thinking about this quite a bit and as long as we hang onto Sanchez, we should be good. Play a 4-2-3-1, with Xhaka and one of Elneny/Coquelin. Ozil as the #10. Lacazette as the striker. Alexis as a winger, and then one of Ramsey/Cazorla/Walcott/Ox on the other side. Back line of Kola, Kos, Mustafi, and Bellerin. I think that's easily a top 4 squad, and maybe even good enough to challenge for the title (we figured out how to beat Chelsea in the FA Cup final!)

Winning the Community Shield is some good momentum to start the season. Hopefully this is the first of many good things to come (including EPL and Europa League titles...and maybe another FA Cup win?)

Good win you guys. Im LFC myself....but my soccer bud is Arse...so they are sorta my 'option b'.

Team looks good. I'm glad they kept Arsene. Who's better?
I hear all you guys that want a change....sometimes you just need fresh blood/voices....I get it. "Don't know what you got, till it's gone"....my two cents worth.

Anytime someone beat's Chel$ki....I love it.

Unai Emery and Arsenal are closing in on an agreement for him to become the next manager.

Emery has managed at clubs such as Valencia, Sevilla, and PSG, his longest tenure being with Valencia for 4 seasons ('08-'12).

Good luck with Emery.

Not gonna lie.....it will be weird not seeing Wenger. Look forward to seeing this 'new team' next season

The demise is complete!

https://soccer.realgm.com/wiretap/6370/Stan-Kroenke-Buys-Remaining-Arsenal-Shares-At-$23-Billion-Valuation

Stan Kroenke will buy the 30 percent stake held by the Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov for £550 million.

Kroenke also intends to exercise the legal right which comes with 90% ownership of a company, and force all remaining small shareholders, most of them Arsenal supporters, to sell their shares to him.

Kroenke intends to take the club off the stock exchange and turn it into a private company.

The Arsenal Supporters’ Trust (AST) described the announcement as “a dreadful day for Arsenal football club.”

The deal value Arsenal at £1.8 billion ($2.3 billion).

Emery is here but the team still plays like under Wenger...second defeat in the second game this season...although the match against Chelsea was a little bit better
