3-on-3 in 2020 Olympics - Would KAT play?
First, remind me if he plays for USA or not.
Second, three years from now, who would be the best USA guys for 3-on-3? I assume LeBron will have finally started to slow down, so think three years from now.
(This is a little mental vacation from the seriousness of free agency)

I would imagine 3 on 3 would be where guards/wings thrive

He is from the Domincan Republic and has played for their "real" basketball national team.

I thought I read the 3 on 3 WOULDN'T involve professional players. Or at least NBA players.

Bigs actually dominate in 3 on 3. Smalls cant guard them at all and its hard to get over the top of them. In the Big3 league Rashard Lewis was clowning everybody.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

On that note, the Big3 Champions in 2019 should go and compete, that chemistry tho

I'd hope he is good enough by then to take the DR to the Olympics in real basketball

Good read. Towns said specifically we are not currently a dynasty. He has a vision for it though.

He always looked big. As for muscles he has more fluid muscle tone than the body builder type.

He does play for their national team but he was born and raised in the us. His mother is Domincan though.
Not sure why that qualifies him to play for their team though.

Because for many countries, you just need to be a descendant of someone who was a citizen.

Re: **The Official Karl-Anthony Towns Thread**
I'm of the opinion that KAT can become the best player in the NBA. Here is an ESPN article speculating on the very same thing. KAT believes he will be and Thibs thinks he can be.
SAN DIEGO – Karl-Anthony Towns often answers questions in coachspeak or in the name of the team. But with all due respect to LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis and James Harden, the versatile Minnesota Timberwolves center is confident in saying that, in time, he can become the best player in the NBA.
“My confidence has always been so high. I felt coming into the league I could be that easily,” Towns said this week after practice at the University of California, San Diego. “I always knew it was just a matter of time.
“But before I was even drafted, I felt that I had that ability, faith and confidence in myself to do that regardless to what team I’m with. I’m very blessed to be with the Timberwolves, because with them I’ve expedited that process a lot.”

A skilled big man trumps all in 3 on 3. Especially one that can shoot lights out from outside
