That Game of Thrones episode was incredible. Probably the best in the series thus far.

Spoiler:
He's probably too significant to the rest of the story. Either way, that very last shot was kind of an eyeroller for me for that reason. There's no way they let Jamie die without making it clear. And him charing the dragon/Daeny was idiotic.
Spoiler:
Him charging the dragon was incredibly desperate. He saw that the Dothraki and that dragon...that single dragon...completely destroyed his army. He saw the pain and the suffering and the horror surrounding it. This was also the Kingslayer, the man who killed The Mad King - Dany's dad - after he watched him torture and burn alive his own people. He also loves his sister (too much). He had more reason to hate a Targaryen Queen than anyone in the show.

Yes, it was stupid. But it was an act of overwhelming desperation. They framed his reaction the horrors around him in a way that made that action seem almost understandable.

I agree he isn't dead. And I'm glad he isn't. Because that would be a terrible way to wrap up the story of one of the most important players since the show began.

Spoiler:
I for sure thought Drogon was in trouble once Bronn launched that bolt at him. To see him take it like it was nothing truly shows the dragons power. I'm sure something major is going to happen to one of them to balance out the power scheme because Danny feels too powerful ATM.

I thought they actually subverted my expectations a bit with Bronn surviving. I would've bet everything on him dying in that episode.

The new GOT character revealed in last night's episode.

Spoiler:
How do you guys feel about Bronn Ex-Machina?

GOT:

Spoiler:
Thought the episode was really good, but I didn't think it was anywhere near "one of the best ever" like people were hyping it up. Bran freaking out Little Finger with the "chaos is a ladder" quote was my favorite part. Even though I like both Bronn and Jaime as characters, neither one dying seemed a bit of a stretch. The battle itself was pretty awesome, but much like with Euron's Iron Fleet, how do the opposing factions/armies always seem to know where to be and how to perfectly ambush/intercept the other? Seems like both sides need to get some better scouts/intelligence to prevent this sort of thing....

GOT:

Spoiler:
3 dragons was enough to conquer Westeros the last time the Targaryen's invaded, and Westeros is probably weaker as a whole this time. If the dragons feel overwhelmingly strong, it's because they are. But, the Iron Throne has never been the end point of Dany's arc. The White Walkers are the big bad, and they're on a tier all their own.

Arya's return really captured the hell the Stark kids have gone through. There's so much trauma there, that it's not clear they really even know each other at this point. The field of fire 2.0 was an incredible payoff. For as horrific as the violence was, it was beautifully shot - with almost all of Jaime's time on camera framed in fire.

Spoiler:
Yea I didn't think it was out of place or anything. The dragoon was wounded, plus the dragon and Dany were distracted trying to pull the arrow out. If they can just be distracted for another few seconds he thought he could kill Dany. He knew he'd die in the process, but probably thought he'd be dying anyway so might as well try and get Dany in the process and be the hero. I get it. I'm also sure they're not going to let him die right now, somehow he'll make it out of that water.

It doesn't ever affect my enjoyment of the show and I don't think about it until after but yeah, there's absolutely no chance she could ferry an entire Dothraki horde and their horses onto the mainland to intercept the Lannisters without anyone noticing. The show has made the choice that this level of minutiae doesn't concern them at this point, they just want to get to the good stuff. I'm choosing to accept it.

I honestly can't envision a King adaptation that was better than the book. It? Shining? Those are the only ones I can maybe see an argument. Reading 11.22.63 now. Heard that was a decent production. Hulu?
Need to finish the Tower series before viewing.

GoT

Spoiler:
Great episode. Not anything to praise that hasn't been said yet.

However.... Really thought they missed a golden opportunity to wrap up Bron story line. For a Stark family reunion there was so little emotion that it felt a little off even though that was intentional I suppose.

And this is just a personal nitpick of mine but we've seen the Dragons in every single episode this year, but yet, healing Ghost hasn't appeared since episode one LAST season. And that was for like a single scene. Like wtf? Can the Dire Wolves not get any love?

Eyes of the Dragon would make a pretty bad ass adaptation.

Also Shawshank was a better movie imo. Green Mile was good too

I read a Tweet where one of the writers said he wrote a scene with Ghost in Winterfell for this season and said it got cut because they have a difficult time rendering the full grown direwolves realistically/cost effectively.

I thought Nymeria looked pretty good though so I dunno.

I actually thought WAY MORE of that was just green screen. Cool to see how much they are putting into this to make it awesome

Spoiler:
I actually loved it...I was sitting there thinking, just wait until Arya tells Sansa, and Sansa tells Arya, but it was like they were too mature, their journeys took them too far, too dark, changed them too much, all of them. Arya and Sansa from the first episode would have been bickering over who had it worse, but now, those kids are gone. I thought that was actually kind of powerful

The Dire Wolves have looked great when we've seen them and I get there's a budget. But if they can afford to show the Dragons every freaking episode just cut them out an episode and highlight Ghost.

If Ghost isn't in this season I might seriously flip. For christ sake Ghost hasn't shown up since episode one last season

Can you explain why you want to see Ghost so badly?
