OT: How do you watch Wizards/NBA games?
I am sure there has been a thread about this. Alas, I cannot find it... merge if needed.
My household is cutting the cord with cable TV (Fios) & soon will just pay for internet service as it seems there are cheaper for what we need. I live in MoCo - MD near DC. I mainly use FIOS to watch Wizards and some other NBA games, mostly on TV and I looking for cheaper alternatives ways to watch the Wizards. We would also like easy access to the local free stations including PBS.
So, how do you watch Wizards/NBA games and how is that working out for you?

Re: OT: How do you watch Wizards/NBA games?
I haven't lived in Maryland/D.C for over 13 years, and it's pretty much been league pass for the duration.
Moved back to Europe last year and it's been much of the same, games on league pass. It's not cheap by any means, but the archive is a great feature and the quality is superb.
There's no television in our household so it's portables exclusively.
Not sure if that's still the case with US league pass, but I seem to recall nationally televised games being blacked out on LP.
Not an issue with the european version, but something to consider.

It would be entirely against the board rules to post a link, I believe a google search of "nbastreams" returns the correct result

Arrgh, on Basketball's Barbary Coast...just don't bring it ashore!
For a split second I thought this was like, "How can you watch Wizards game?" and thought "Come on, they're not that bad"

have sprint cell phone service, they always had this deal with league pass where you could get it on mobile for like 40$ for the entire season.
then I found reddit nba streams and everything changed.

On DirectTV DVR. Most of the time i am watching on delay but sometimes i will tape a game and decide later whether or not to watch it. Generally the only time i was watching live was late in a tight game.

Re: OT: How do you watch Wizards/NBA games?
I've been a League Pass subscriber for over a decade. It's cheaper to buy the digital-only package from the NBA directly, but I've traditionally gone through my cable TV provider (currently Verizon FiOS), so that I can DVR and time shift games more easily.
Watching LP via the Roku has improved *dramatically* over the past 2 seasons. It's still a pain to activate (I usually have to get on the phone w/ someone to get the digital subscription activated), but once it's going, it works fine. You can also cast games and highlights using the Android app and a Chromecast. So, all told, getting access to Wizards games out of market (within the US) isn't that difficult and/or expensive. It's certainly a better deal than NFL Sunday Ticket -- it's usually cheaper, and you get many more hours of content (more games spread out over multiple nights over a longer season).

Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

League Pass also. I have a VPN service that allows me to watch the Wizards games when I am in Maryland.

Re: OT: How do you watch Wizards/NBA games?
After some research, I am going to just keep internet through Verizon Fios, dropping their cable (FIOS) tv service and our telephone landline. I will watch Wizards games and NBA games on Sling TV through Roku on my TV. I have to get Sling TV's 'orange' + 'blue' plans at $40/month: The orange has ESPN to get their nationally televised NBA games and the blue plan for local Wizards games on Comcast (I am in the DC area.) I will save a lot of money not paying for cable - looks like $100 savings/month! I will update if there are unforeseen fees. One of the major disadvantages is that on Sling TV, you can't DVR Disney-owned stations like ESPN.

This is something I should consider. Does SlingTV have DVR?
