I'm not sure you understand just how bad Zimmerman was with the Magic this past year. He was horrific in the SL.

But he is 7ft. and only 20. So might as well take a look.

Zimmerman needs a lot of work as a player but some development in the G-League could continue to help him. He could be a player in a few years...but not now. He needs allot of work on his body. Could be a good addition for the Lakers as a two-way player (we have one of those left?).
Frankly, he wasn't very impressive in college at a mid-major where being a 7-footer is a huge advantage. But was actually pretty good in the D-League last year (not sure if that matters much).

Let's see how good our new staff and facility is? Making Zimmerman strong enough for the NBA might be a challenge and a half.

He is enticing talent wise, but he's just way too soft and has a weird rubber elbow that doesn't let him work out much. Hopefully he has a chance to make your team and turn things around!

he was 5 stars recruit. Glad we still looking for "bust" with untapped potential

I dont know what it is but even the camp invites are better than previous years. I like these moves by Magic/Pelinka.

Zimmerman and Bryant are high potential players. Zubac better be working on his stretch shots or he might not get resigned after this upcoming year. Zim and Bryant are quicker and can run the floor with Ball.

Zimmerman has to work on his FTs and 3 point shooting but defense, post shots and running the floor are all there.

Camp fodder... or a replacement for a traded player are my two immediate thoughts.

Zimmerman's strength coming into NBA.

I still like Zimmerman's potential and he could be a serious 2-way contract potential candidate for the Lakers especially if we intend to pass on Zubac. He has inside game, is a good passer and rebounder. He has to bulk up for NBA and work on his 3 point shot but he has good release.
