He was in CA where weed is essentially legal. I assume it says under a certain amount or something though. Yet they're going to waste their time trying to get a felony to stick over $400 worth of weed (what someone else said, not sure how accurate) when he's clearly not a dealer? Cmon, he's walking away with a slap on the wrist for this, the laws just haven't been updated yet. Unless some overzealous prosecutor tries to make an example of him (which would be stupid in a state where probably 85% agree with legalization) he's not going to end up with anything of significance. This is really no big deal other than him just not having a designated weed carrier like Carmelo has.

Hope this one is overblown.

Good observation. He kept himself out of trouble in Memphis and being back in CA is too much for him.

Alternate theory - Memphis law enforcement were big Grizzlies fans.

Randolph very likely was partying in Memphis also, he just happened to get caught this time because people were blocking traffic, triggering cops to show up.

A shoplifter may do it countless times before finally getting busted or busted a second time.

Hell, in my younger days i must have bought and sold weed about 500 times, smoked it who knows how many times, including outside, and went places with it on me to many times to even guess a number.

Yet, only got caught with it once because the guy i was in the car with was driving about 90mph on s city street, cop smelled weed, and searched us.

So i'm quite sure Randolph partied away in while Memphis and during his offseasons, he just avoided getting busted. That dude clearly loves his ganja, as does tons of other NBA players. He just seems to run with a rough crowd.

If ZBo gets a ban of any sorts, the league is being insanely obtuse.

all depends on the details.... throw minors in the mix or an actual intent to sell and I wouldn't feel bad for him. Dude's gotta be smarter

There is something else going on in this case or it wouldn't be a felony. You could have 3 tons of it in CA and it wouldn't be a felony so we are going to have to wait to see what happens. I imagine it is either going to get tossed or its going to be really ugly.

So the Spurs have internet in Kyrie. Not sure what they have that he Cavs would want. Other than Leonard obviously.

Could you add in a third-party and build Aldridge and Love plus Irving into a blockbuster? That's two guys both teams want to move. The third-party would be the key.

Yeah maybe it would need to be a three teamer for the Spurs to make it happen.

San Antonio is exactly what Kyrie needs. Maybe they could reign Kyrie in and he could drastically improve his D under Pop the same way Parker did (although Parker was never as bad as Kyrie). It could be a Randy Moss situation when Randy Moss was floundering in Oakland and Belichick traded for him and then he set records with the Patriots.

1. SAS have no young stars to trade for Kyrie.

2. If Kyrie didn't feel free enough within the Cavs structure he would feel downright shackled in SA.

3. What we need and what we want are two totally different things. Kyrie having "interest" in SA seems like more of a trolling headline than anything that matters at all.

Patty, Green and LMA. Gives Love a bigger role, great spacing and defense. Much better than the current Cavs

Gilbert should just sell the Cavs right now and cash out. Best I can tell he paid 375 mil for 85% back in 2005. Can probably get a billion easily right now while LBJ is still there, likely much more. After both stars are gone because they can't stand him and the team goes back to being garbage in a small market that could go down. But most importantly it's seems kind of clear he's the issue there, but of course it's tough for someone like him to come to that realization with that kind of ego and power.

New owners could look at it and think they can convince LBJ to stay. Probably even make an under the table agreement for LBJ to buy into ownership after he retires.

Yeah, if not for Lebron, Gilbert would be on the Donald Sterling/Vivek Ranadive level of trash owners. I mean, he is already, but the league wide perception would be even worse.

Pretty crazy that Giannis is higher than Curry. I suppose that isn't a reflection of him being better, but moreso that Curry is on a stacked team where the ball will be shared, thus reducing his chances.

Giannis rarely shoots and makes 3s
Curry rarely dunks

Giannis is underrated offensively. He is unstoppable in his own way. As long as the ball goes into the hoop efficiently...

Dan Gilbert's time is coming. We are 11-months out from LeBron leaving for the Lakers.

At that point he'll be left holding the bag of Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson and a bad roster. And his defense will be that he tanked hard enough to get the Wiggins asset which begot LeBron part II and Cleveland's first title.

If the Thunder don't take a big step this year, does Westbrook still get the MVP based on empty stats again? I can't remember a repeat MVP who was on a team that will probably get bounced in the first round. Is George going to make that much of a difference?

I'll go out on a limb and say that Russ will never win another MVP.
