Look....I get it. It's Barcelona. It always kinda takes a a piece of you whenever this happens...but it's also something that you just kinda get used to. But 24-hours before the season starts? Come on man. That sucks.

If I'm Klopp I tell him f - no. We won't have time to get other players....etc etc. We'll talk in the winter transfer window...but you can't walk in the day before our run and say you want to leave.

Anyhow.....who didn't see this one coming?

Very disappointing. But, not surprised.

Yeah....massive loss for us (let's just call 1 point what it is, a failure).

Defense didn't get shored up at all. Looks to be another long season.

Defending set pieces has always been a problem under Klopp. Even with Rodgers it was a problem.

Some good play there. Still giving up too many goals, but whatever. We're onto the group stage, so that's cool.

Let's see if we can get some momentum, and get even into the first elimination round. I'll take it. A semi-legit Europe run. Decent start, and then we need to get back to the EPL.

$130 mil for Coutinho....and they are suing Neymar. Someone sure ain't used to hearing 'no' are they? =0)

Ehh...It's reportedly 100m. 30m is based on Champions League appearances, etc. Pass.

Their last offer was 80m payed out over 5 years. 17m upfront. A joke. They're wasting their time.

Awesome...thanks for info. I think we have a beatable group. We seem to do poorly against 'lesser' competition, so I'm taking nothing for granted....but we can definitely make it to knockout rounds.

Hendo & Gini were fantastic. The Midfield dominated today. Karius was shaky as usual lol.

This team just confuses the hell out of me.....there's no other way to put it. This team can beat Real Madrid one day, and then lose to Real Salt-Lake (just about the dumbest team name in history, IMO) 5 days later. Salah seems like a really good get so far. And I continue to love the Mane signing.

No Coutinho, I noticed. I take heart that we can play like that without him. It sorta seems like we're moving him at this point. It's a damn shame. You have a game like today, and you wonder why he doesn't wanna at least stick around and see something through for another season or two? Perhaps we can take that step, and bring a title soon....sure could use his talents, no doubt.

On the "half-full" side of things....$100+ mil should allow for some decent defensive signings.

Next game, is $$$Man-$ity$$$ the twenty-trillion dollar team. Would be nice to have another showing like today. We can then lose to Burnley the following week. That seems more our style :dontknow:

Your right. We will likely lose or draw with Burnley. Because we struggle vs. clubs that like to sit back & exploit our own weakness.

I'm hopeful that Coutinho stays at least this season, and Sturridge is actually able to play a whole season through. That really gives us alot of attacking options. I'd say were in great shape as far as that is concerned.

It's our D. Karius was our only dark spot today. I hate to say it....but that guy just doesn't look EPL quality at all. But besides him, we need better defense.

We'll see. Early early going. I don't wanna get too excited yet.
