Re: Transfer Thread 11 - Summer Window 2017
Spurs have had a bid for Anthony Martial rejected. No way Mourinho would sell him to us even if we did pony up a big fee.

Yeah, sort of a waste of time.

Here's a question. Why don't Real Madrid sign Diego Costa?

They do but they've got the transfer ban.

Insigne as Coutinho replacement? Would Napoli sell?

Re: Transfer Thread 11 - Summer Window 2017
I know Klopp's played Coutinho out wide before, but wouldn't you say he's more of a central player? I guess Klopp's system is fairly fluid.
Insigne's more of a winger/striker and possesses fairly different attributes, not sure if he'd be an ideal replacement. Great player, mind.

if Mane or Firmino plays behind the striker and Insigne plays on the wing, it could work.
Still think they should be going for that star striker instead with the Coutinho money.

Barcelona officially sign Paulinho for a fee believed to be in the region of 40m euros.

I can't even begin to express how funny this is. He's one of the worst players I've seen in a Spurs shirt, and that's saying something (Atouba, Rebrov, Thatcher). Has he been that good in China and for Brazil?

Yeah, i'm incredibly curious to see him play. He was an unmitigated disaster for us.

Can somebody explain why was Bartolomeu thinking with this signing?

Gylfi Sigurdsson to Everton for... wait for it, £45 million.
Always believed in him at Spurs, not surprised to see him get a big money move. I mean, it's probably 30m too much but still. Probably means we'll see some movement in the Barkley saga soon, too.

Re: Transfer Thread 11 - Summer Window 2017
He's a 25-30 million player (and i'm saying that's what was being quoted just before the end of last season).
Seriously 45 million is a great deal for Swansea, only thing is that they'll need to buy or they're going to get relegated.

Waay overpriced.
Everton needed him though.
Their attack looks anaemic.

Yep, Spurs get 10%. Not too shabby.
Matuidi to Juventus for about 20m euros. Great deal for them.

I actually don't like him much as you know, but given his current reputation and the spike in the market it actually seems like a pretty reasonable deal to me.

Daniel Levy gets 10% from every signing in England.
