Detroit Pistons 2017-2018 Schedule released

Post#1 » by DETermination » Mon Aug 14, 2017 10:05 pm

http://www.nba.com/pistons/schedule

We start the season vs Charlotte and end the season vs the bulls.

I think our schedule looks pretty easy for the few weeks or so hopefully we get off to a good start.

Actually opening the season at home. That's a pleasant surprise.

Monk vs Kennard on the first night! We'll see who tears it up in that last minute of the game when SVG finally puts Luke in the game.

Always nice when these decrease from the year prior.

the last almost month of the season looks like it's easier, hopefully that helps with a potential playoff push.

March 19 @ Sacramento
March 20 @ Phoenix
March 22 @ Houston
March 24 vs. Chicago
March 26 vs. Lakers
March 29 vs. Washington
March 31 @ New York
April 1 @ Brooklyn
April 4 vs. Philadelphia
April 6 vs. Dallas
April 8 @ Memphis
April 9 vs. Toronto
April 11 @ Chicago

that's about 9 of our last 13 games that should be against teams that finish bottom 10 in the league.

If they need a lot of them games for a playoff push that would be disappointing for me. I'm hoping they're around 5th seed or so. Even with the bad year last year I'm optimistic, but who knows what team will show up

i'm sure it varies depending on the team but last year the raptors tickets went on sale september 15th. with the earlier season start this year i wouldn't be surprised if tickets went on sale early september.

Lame that to open a brand new spectacular arena, the first preseason game and first regular season game are against the same team - and a dull team at that - Charlotte.

I thought it was cool because charlotte opened the palace too, but to each his own I guess.

Its so strange looking at that schedule and seeing all the home games say "Little Caesar's Arena" I think that's going to take a while to get used to. Wish they would have named it something else.

for "grand opening" type games leagues (not just NBA) rarely put marquee matchups there since those games would likely get sold out anyways, whereas the "boring" matchup will now get sold out when it otherwise wouldn't.

But do you want to open against the Warriors and get obliterated on opening night?

I'd rather have a competitive game on opening day. Hornets are a good choice, and yes, they'll sell a lot of tickets the first day regardless.

Competitive? Pistons going to blow them out the water, lol. Unleash the Boban! I think that's the team he killed, but we played them again and he didn't get much pt if my memory is correct.
