Guys who IMO do not make this list

Kobe Bryant

My criteria would be much more restricted. I'm not sure I'd give anyone 99 overall.

How about Walton? But otherwise not crazy by any means, couple guys I disagree on, but they either made your HM list or I'd have them as 97-98 type guys, so no big deal.

Totally agree. You always have to leave room for possible improvement.

In my mods I usually leave Bron/Jordan on ~96-97 or so.

I don't know if I totally agree with you on that. Being 99 doesn't mean you're a perfect player in the game, just that you're good enough at enough skills to get that total rating. So I'd be ok with players being 99 overall.

PS: The only perfect player in NBA history was Kobe in NBA 2k9, where I maxed out all of his stats to make it "more realistic".

If you use realistic scores on 2K, no player gets past 95.

I'm not going based on what I would give them.

Just who I think would be a 99 based on the current ratings.

This is why my personal 2K ratings would be more about a real out of game measurement of ratings.

Peak Michael Jordan IMO is the only one who would get the 99. And then everyone else would be based on that.

Walton would be around a 97 along the likes of David Robinson, Kevin Garnett and Dirk.

Only one "99" is Wilt '64.
Lebron '09, Shaq '00, T-Mac '03, Jordan '90 is 98.
KG '04, KD '14, Duncan '03, Jabbar '77 is 97.
Bill Russell is 96 maximum.

I would give 98 for 67 Wilt. And 97 to a few.
