Really? I dont see it. Irving and IT are essentially the same shoot first PG with major offensive talent but who both cant play defense and doesnt play a true PG game. And if I had to choose, Kyrie is better and more lethal than IT in that regard.

Kyrie scares me more with the ball than IT ever will, so I def think this would be an L for cleveland. Someone like Chris Paul with Lebron James wouldve been a deadly combo

This doesn't really play in to the whole "Kyrie just wants more shots" theory. He may be the best player on the Celtics if the trade happens, but guys like Hayward and Horford are too good not to get theirs.

Conspiracy theory: LeBron wants Kyrie to go to a playoff rival so he can embarrass him on the big stage.

I agree Boston would win this trade but if you look at their offseason as a whole, they've lost a ton of depth. If this trade goes through, Boston would have lost:

IT
Crowder
Bradley
Olynik
Amir Johnson
Gerald Green
Jerebko
Zicic

Gained:

Irving
Hayward
Morris
Baynes

They're going to be relying a lot on Jaylen Brown and Tatum I suppose

Hopefully both teams have chemistry issues and we sneak into the finals.

What you've just showed is that huge depth charts mean nothing in the NBA when they are not seeing any time in the playoffs. Amalgamating higher quality talent that plays higher amount of minutes in the playoffs is what they need. They could be in the finals in the following season. Anige, has done a great job this summer IMO. Added a top draft pick, added a top Free Agent, added a top player thru trade (by sending lower pieces), and lost nothing overly significant.

Bruh our lineup of doom is slated to be:

Lowry
Powell
DeRozan
Caboclo
Ibaka

vs.

Irving
Hayward
Brown
Tatum
Horford

vs.

Thomas
Smith (Wade?)
Crowder
James
Love

We best hope Bruno channels his inner-KD.

Good for Celtics and the Raptors,
Kyrie's iso play will wreck the whole team system.

Yeah getting rid of IT would hurt anyone's defense
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.
