Yeah I am about 50/50 right now for this season. I think unless they are hell bent on moving him regardless of if he is able to mend fences with LBJ enough to play together going into the season should he not be moved before tc and they move him after some other names become available that are not yet.
It might be the best case scenario to have him report and they play together if the level of disgruntled attitude and dysfunction is actually way overblown and KI's real issues are with the org. Then they either play out the season or trade him before the deadline (anytime between tc and feb.) This way they have more options and maybe holding out = a better deal.
But obviously if they think it just going to be a major distraction and or not be able to equate to any cohesion and success as in past seasons , then they won't wait until tc, they might even move him for less than they want, but I am inclined to think some team will at minimum offer 70 cents on the dollar and they may be inclined to pull the trigger if the feeling is disruption and losses anticipated from waiting scenario going into camp is the most likely outcome.

yeah me too but I just posted a ton of possible trade scenarios in the trade thread.
They have a ton of first rounders to deal to us. If we can get 1 of Tatum or Brown with Isaiah and a filler like Smart or Morris, I think overall it is a trade they will do. If it hurts the Cavs I don't know,we still have Lebron so I don't think it is that big of an issue. But if Boston is not as serious in their offer as it takes for the Cav's to pull the trigger than it won't matter anyway.I hate crowder & I would not do that deal.

I want to see what the picks are but not liking this deal for Cleveland especially with Thomas' bad hip.

If it's as bad as I think it's going to be, I'm going to the bar Howard so I might need help keeping an eye on things for a couple of hours.

Meh. IT is a rental. If LBJ walks, & he probably will, then Gilbert isn't going to pay IT. Crowder's defense gets a little overrated IMO. He's got no shot at guarding Durant. IT's got no shot at slowing down Curry. None of the PGs on the roster can play a lick of defense. This is waiving the white flag on any Championship aspirations. Zizi & the pick make it palatable.

I would say that the unprotected Nets 2018 first round pick is the center piece of this trade.
Canned in Denver.

It's going to be a good pick but it shows Cleveland believes LeBron is gone after this year.

They will likely flip the pick immediately in another trade dumping salaries of Shumpert Frye etc. If they keep it best case Porter is the next KD and the Cav's draft him worst case they watch the Nets have a decent season

The best part of this trade is it prevented the Cavs from making a really bad trade where a homeless version of Kyrie on a bad contract came back. There's some meh PGs in this league (who don't defend either) on really big deals.

Here's what I don't know: What do the Cavs do with the 18 or so players they have under guaranteed contracts? Hopefully they can trade J. Green, RJ, Shump, Frye and/or Felder.

What I don't like: K. Love/IT PNR defense.

I think it only shows they don't know, because neither does Lebron.

trading salary dumps and maybe the nets pick are next move
Zizic looks to be damn good, so I am not that disappointed despite not liking Crowder.
IT is a rental for sure, but at least he is a solid shooter for his year here with lebron needing such a guard.

It would not surprise me if Thompson is traded next summer if Lebron bolts at least if Zizic plays like he looks to be capable of going forward.

I see this as a win for Cleveland. How healthy it is determines how big of a win.

This trade is **** awesome. Kyrie isn't even better than IT and we got crowder and the nets pick.

This is best case scenario.

Lebron hasn't even decided to leave. We win this year and he stays and we resign IT.

Kyries knee is just as much as a worry to hopefully they both stay healthy.
