I thought hed be a good candidate for the 3rd pg spot or starting guard on the gleague team.

It seems that he has not developed 3pt shot since his last run with Wolves.

For 3rd string PG I would give a chance to ex Tyus Jones teammate.

With affalo off the board, Allen has to be the guy.

They could still both be the guy

I didn't want to start a new thread, but I thought some people here might be interested that there is an ESPN 360 program tomorrow at 8 AM focusing on Darko Milicic.

I suppose its a step in the right direction, but its only as effective as how much the players actually care about suiting up...and considering how brazen they were about not caring these past few years, I question how effective it will actually be.

So this KAT v Jokic debate and a few threads on the GB has made me hate Nuggets fans now. This should make the season more fun.

This trade is BANANAS.

I think you could argue that both teams are winners in this deal, but Cleveland got a much better haul.

Holy cow, YES. Cleveland pulled off a stunner here. Ainge should resign in shame.

...I mean, is there something Kyrie does that much better than Isaiah to correct the imbalance here? Certainly not defense.

Crowder too - will give James more of a chance to sit, especially early in the season.

....AND, an almost guaranteed high lotto pick. SMDH.

I just wanna see how King James and Isaiah mesh. I think they'll figure something out.

It's probably not enough to keep LeBron if he wants to go, but it's a start.

I think it's a good trade for both.

I think Boston got a franchise caliber player that can go toe to toe with anyone and you don't have to hide on D like you do IT. They don't have to make the tough decision of maxing IT (no win scenario). Crowder is less likely to see significant minutes with Tatum and Hayward. If Nets pick is top 3 it hurts, but a top pick is no guarantee of success.

Cleveland gets a great long term piece in the Nets pick and a guy to replace Kyrie's scoring in IT for at least the short term. When noted homer Bill Simons says Crowder's D is overrated he might be onto something, but he definitely improves Cleveland's bad D. I don't think they clearly won the deal like most of the GB does, but they did better than anyone could've expected when the possibility of a Kyrie trade first came up.

At least there is some hope for good Finals. I have never been a fan of LeBron, but to be honest I don't see who can defeat this GSW team.

I guess when you can add Hayward and Irving in an off-season, you do it. But man...their perimeter D took a big hit losing Bradley and Crowder. Marcus Smart better be ready to step up.

I don't get this from Boston's perspective.

Ainge could've had Butler or PG (admittedly not for long in PG's case) and probably kept IT too. Not to mention that we didn't seem to have any interest in offering Wiggins and Phoenix weren't gonna offer Jackson, why give up so much for Kyrie?

IT's hip and FA are major concerns, Bos likely didn't want to commit to him long term for the $ he wants and probably would be forced to give given their cap situation next offseason (Jrue Holiday scenario)

Nets pick might not be that great, could be closer to #10 than #1, Nets upgraded their talent and have no incentive to tank while quite a few teams do, so if its the #7 pick, eh not a huge loss

Crowder is great contract obviously, good player, but pretty redundant with GH, Tatum, Brown

Zizac plays the most saturated position in the league

So assuming all that, Boston might not see that as very much to lock into an All-NBA caliber player at age 25

Yeah, I'm kind of wondering if this is direction modern NBA is headed to. Versatile core of GH-Tatum-Brown on perimeter + versatile and mobile bigman in Horford + mighty scorer at PG. BOS lost defensive specialist in Bradley and Crawder, but upgraded with size, athleticism.

I forgot about the hip, but when you think of a 5'9" PG who's 29 and looking for a max deal in the offseason I can see Boston's rationale...even for someone who is a fierce competitor and fun to watch.

Also Nets aren't good, but with no reason to tank can you say they'll be worse than Atlanta, Orlando, Indiana, Knicks, and Chicago? Pick might not be worth as much next offseason as the swap clearly looked to be last year at this time.

Regardless it's been one entertaining offseason and thrilled MN was part of the positive buzz.

First reaction for me is that Celtics just got better than the Cavs. I absolutely love Jaylen Brown, I think he's an all star talent and Tatum adds so much firepower to their bench. Irving >>>IT imo especially with IT wanting a max when his deal is up next year.

Irving/Hayward/Brown/Morris/Horford
with Smart, Rozier, and Tatum coming of the bench?

Feel like they match up very well against IT/LeBron/Love trio now.
