Horford is massively overpaid, but he doesn't "suck".

This is also where the board outsmarts itself imo with using advanced metrics and "impact" stats to form a narrative, as has been highlighted in the past. That top-30 player got them to what should've been a first round loss vs the 8-seed Bulls (saved by a Rondo injury), and then a swift dismissal from the Cavs.

Everyone knows, looking at that RPM listing, the one player who doesn't belong. You're not winning anything if Crowder is your second-best player, and even if he's the third you'd need a lot of other things to go right.

Impact metrics are fine, but using them to just say player X is better than player Y seemingly without considering role, responsibility, circumstances, etc. seems silly. Crowder is really good for the role he's in but production & volume actually matters.

I find the Crowder hate surprising. When boston was breaking off an asset to fit grodon I was hoping a 1st would net crowder. In mke he's a substantially better Dudley. Allows small ball flexes with ease etc. Why we heap praise on iggy and green but then piss all over Crowder is beyond me. The guys good... hes the glue that makes teams work. Cleveland hands down won this deal. Brooklands pick is huge. Crowder is a mid 1st easy. Zizic would have went in the early teens this year by most accounts. Then IT so its not a blow it up trade. LBJ leaves and IT is a piece you can stick to love and build with. That will keep the team in the playoffs with TT crowder.

If you call Crowder top 30 its overkill but he probably is in the top 5 contracts (non-rookie) in basketball. People saying he'd fail as best player... yep... so would Dray but where is GS without him and Iggy? They go b2b? Curry Durant Klay carry a ton but Dray and Iggy shouldn't be overlooked. If crowder wasn't on IT/Stevens team that surprised with the 1 seed the duscussion wouldnt be as bipolar. The people ranking him a bit too high are closer than the naysayers.
