Yes, that's why I said we ALL need to look in the mirror.

I'm not sure I understand your comment. How does looking in a mirror affect our reaction to a scientific finding (that there is only one race, not multiple races)? I may be missing your point though so please explain.

Also, when a citizen fills out govt. or university questionnaires asking for race classification the only accurate answer in my mind would be "other". Wouldn't it be dishonest to answer in any other way assuming one understands the science?

Not sure what you want me to explain. It's a figure of speech. I'm agreeing with you but I don't think the concept of race will ever be expunged.

I assume it's news when the guy who says he's innocent berates someone for not protecting him.

Why does he need protection?

If it's all fake news (and it may well be) just let them do their investigation and laugh at them... :dontknow:

I should have put my text in green - green is my friend. I just think it is soooo obvious what he is doing now... yeah.

My bad.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

It's that sly, dry dckingsfan wit. Very low key, like a Trump tweet.

It starts with expecting top administration officials to protect him from investigation, then on to expecting Republican elected officials to protect him from investigation ("I thought we were on the same team"), then expecting the Secret Service to protect him from investigation ("they're supposed to protect the President"), then the military ("I am their Commander-In-Chief"), civil servants ("I head the organization they work for"), the press ("I am the leader of the country whose Constitution protects their right to exist"), and when, finally, he suggests that the failure of any citizen to protect him from investigation is a treasonous offense ("An attack on me is an attack on our nation"), we'll all be so worn down that we'll wonder, "Why is this news?"

PS: I inadvertently made the Politics thread a stickied thread last week. It may be a while before camps start, but this is still a basketball board, so I hope no one minds me returning it to regular thread status. Stickied threads seem like they should be reserved for basketball subjects. Politics being what it is these days, the thread is bound to stay near the top regardless.

This is so reminiscent of the 'courtroom' scene in Animal House just before the Delta House walks
out of the trial en mass.

CNN is reporting this as well. But no, ESPN doesn't have a particular political slant, right?

Oh yeah, Dems will be dancing in the streets over it.

I'd call it a stupid ratings related decision (of which they have many) rather than a political slant. It doesn't serve any political side.

Yeah... Just fits their pattern and narrative. This is an ESPN3 game only streaming online so clearly ratings were the concern...

How can anyone watch CNN or Foxs news!?!?! Both of these "news" channels are essentially mouth pieces for the Left or Right...neither are objective... its almost impossible to find out what the hell actually happen today from watching the news...which is sad. You almost gotta watch both...figure out what they both agree on and then form an opinion based on the overlapping data. honestly the FAKE NEWS is causing people to split into two ignorant and intolerant tribes!

CNN isn't traditionally considered "Left".

I mean it's left leaning compared to Fox news but that's not saying much.

Now what CNN IS is anti-Trump.

And with good reason imo.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

The series is annoying because its broken into 17 videos and the music is hilariously cheesy, but it is WELL worth listening-to in your leisure. You really see the pieces of the puzzle connect between what you have been following in the news, and what is contained in the Trump dossier, it all fits.
