Don't really see why this would be written in ink.

In the video game world, sure you could keep him. In the real world with his personality and clear motivations to head to a major market to be the man.. no chance.

Not really buying the "no chance" at all.

Middleton, Brogdon and Maker for Kyrie, Osman, Schumpert.

Uh no.

ETA: BTW, I wish we could interact with the Cav's forum on RGM but that forum is very inactive. The real action takes place at RealCavsFans.

Real Cavs fans need to come around to the idea that it's over. Lebron is clearly gone next year and the last time he had one foot out the door, he literally quit on the team in a playoff series.

He done. They done. Nab the best future asset you can and pray you don't draft Anthony Bennet again while playing in your unremodeled arena.
Please reconsider your animal consumption.

Again, it's time to **** or get off the pot.

People keep saying we have a four year window. What do you think the Bucks chances of winning a championship over the next two seasons are? I will say 0%. The 18 year old can be a superstar by the time Giannis' current contract is up but Giannis isn't leaving in 4 years anyway. We will be able to offer him far more money than he can get anywhere else.

We damn sure better make an effort to win and win a championship, or else Giannis will be over this franchise and I won't blame him. As we've seen multiple times over now, money is not the end all be all and he just well might bolt for greener, winning pastures.

Taking the attitude that Giannis isn't leaving in 4 years is very dangerous. We need to be cautious. Milwaukee cannot assume we are keeping our superstar.

I agree about the caution, but also don't think Kyrie will put us over the hump. Middleton+Brogdon is worth more than Kyrie, and that's before adding a first and Thon. I gotta see him do something without Lebron. Much rather add Porzingis and the price tag is probably similar.

We can't let fear of losing him guide every decision either. My suggestion was taking the Cs package and pushing our offer to Cleveland. People aren't appreciating that Zizic is a really good prospect.

I think it's fair to say we have a significantly greater chance of keeping Middleton than Irving long term.

Middleton has not demanded a trade before. Irving has, and even threatened to not show up to camp.

That said, I think assuming Kyrie would leave no matter what is a bit much.

If its in a vacuum, this works the other way in my eyes.

I would easily give up Middleton straight up for Kyrie and Giannis would love us for it. Who says Middleton will be here after his deal is up? Giannis would kill for another star level talent I am sure.

The problem I have is you have a lets call a 9 or 10 offensive player and a 3 or 4 defensively. Middleton is maybe a 7 or something on both ends. So easy yes on that.

Then the talk is to add another 2 way player in Brogdon. Lets say he also is a 7 on both ends. Now the deal starts to go sideways in my eyes. Add Maker? No way. Add a pick? Sure, but not that plus Brogdon.

Now, if do all that, perhaps Giannis isn't so pleased. Maybe he is, maybe he wants another star as badly as Boston apparently does.

I think you're overrating our guys. If it's a 10 point scale, 2 guys rated at 7 on both ends would be All star/borderline All NBA types.

I don't quite get the amount of hype for Zizic. He's a decent 7-footer prospect, but not super mobile or as explosive as you'd want for someone who's as raw and unpolished as he is. His age (20) seems to be the major draw and what people are banking on, but I just don't see much more than a rotational big at the NBA level, talent-wise.

I'm cool with this. I don't want to give up both Middleton and Brogdon for Kyrie, either. I was okay with trading for Kyrie, but it was under the assumption that we could keep one of those guys to pair with him.

It's an acceptable stance to pursue neither of these moves (Cleveland and Boston) :)

Pelicans have a ticking time clock on Cousins and (by extension) AD. Wonder what they do to fill their latest hole, especially considering depth was already a major issue.

“Once again, we’re in the situation where we really like our team,” said Gentry. “We’re ready to go. Solomon went through a year of learning the system and adjusting to it. He had a great, great year defensively, and now they’re talking about him being out somewhere in the neighborhood of 6 months or so.”

The New Orleans head coach went on to add that this situation is going to be a struggle for both the Pelicans and Hill: “I thought he guarded his position as well as anyone in the league last year, and he did a great job on guys like Paul George.”

“Well, I think we have some players that can fill in, but we really need to go out and find another guy of that size with a little versatility that can play some four or maybe even some two for us, depending on who we can get in those situations. But, yeah, we’re going to miss Solomon at the start.”

Despite the bevy of guards on the roster, Gentry wasn’t ready to commit to going smaller, commenting that it’s a route the Pelicans will explore but would be wary to use against teams with larger small forwards.

In case you need help reading between all of these lines, E’Twaun Moore, standing 6’-4”, is probably too small for Gentry’s liking on a nightly basis and both Darius Miller and Quincy Pondexter are not ready to carry large loads singlehandedly.

Convince me how Kyrie/Snell/Jabari/Giannis/Thon is not a Championship Team.

Especially on season 2018-2019 ...
with
1) Jabari healthy-
2) Kyrie,Giannis-Snell-Thon chemistry in place with a season on their back.

This team can win it all.

Not convinced. Still we are a Championship team and we give GSW the hell at the Finals.
One injury, one Draymond ejection and we win it. I mean it is too close to give it up. Anything can happen.

Besides GSW megateam. Jabari has two torn ACLs and we have no idea if Thon will be anything more than a 15 min per game hustle guy at this point. Basically, we have no idea what is going to become of 40% of that starting lineup.

Not a chance. Snell and Thon are not starters on championship teams. The offense would be there with Kyrie, Jabari, and Giannis but a team with Kyrie and Jabari would be one of the worst defenses in the league and you can't win a championship in the NBA without a great defense. If we have Kyrie coming in, we need Jabari going out. Having both is too much of an anchor.

Agreed. I would trade pretty much anything outside of Giannis for Porzingis.

Disagree. This team has 3 good defenders (Giannis,Thon,Snell) and 3 good offensive players (Giannis,Kyrie,Jabari).
I see a pretty balanced team. I see a contender.
