For f*cks sake watch The Good Place, already, if you haven't. It's a Michael Schur show with Ted Danson and Kristen Bell at their comedic best.

Fear the Walking Dead is 10x the show TWD is.

I was thinking about doing the same thing. So much good stuff in the first few seasons that I can barely remember and want to see again like Ned vs. Jaime in Kingsfall.

You guys don't fool me. I know why you really want to rewatch those early seasons and it's spelled boom chicka wah wah.

Agreed. I'm invested in TWD so I'll keep watching . But I think they'll milk it and milk it and milk it. Hell they're already doing that. I'd love to hear an AMC announcement that there will be X number of more seasons. Vince Gilligan was smart not to let Breaking Bad run too long. TWD has already run too long.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

From what I read and saw discussing TWD during last season it seemed to imply there was still a lot left and this will go several more years. I don't read the comic books but they seemed to imply there is still a lot of source material to go through, others could clarify more who read the books.

I haven't got caught up on last year of FTWD yet so I'll have to get that binged, didn't realize it was starting again so soon. At this point I'm just as blah on it as I am normal TWD but I'm in too deep at this point.

I agree on The Good Place. Worth watching for anyone, just a solid show. I was very surprised I liked it but watched it off a recommendation and it held up. I mean it's probably not going to go down as a must watch best show ever, but I doubt anyone will regret watching it.

If there is a lot of source material left for TWD then they need to pick up the snail's pace.

Well, the comic series is ongoing and still well ahead of the show -- there's a lot of good stuff to mine from the comics, but there's also stuff they've invented for the series that is not good at all. The execution of stuff is just uneven in general. It can be great and stupendously satisfying at times (everything Negan says after Shiva the tiger attacks). It also has spectacular lows (EVERYTHING TO DO WITH JADIS AND THE GARBAGE PEOPLE IS BAFFLING).

There actually isn't a lot of source material left for TWD. They've almost caught up to the comics in the storyline. So really, them saying that pretty much just confirms they're gonna milk the **** out of the Negan/Saviors storyline and give us more filler-episode crap.

For a point of reference, the last TWD season finale roughly syncs with issue 114 of the comics (Glenn dies in issue 100). The last issue released was 170.

I must missing something.

Spoiler:
They're essentially still on the "Whisperers" story arc as of the last few issues if I recall, which immediately followed the Negan/Saviors and the All out War plot line. TV moves faster than print so I'm not seeing how they have so many seasons worth of original material to work with, without stretching it way too thin ala Season 2 at Hershel's Farm.

Spoiler:
They could do a season for All Out War pretty easily, end with the time jump.

It's a little reductive to say the Whisperers are a story arc -- they're around for about a third of the series and figure prominently into an escalating series of arcs. But I doubt we see them next season at any rate. Would estimate they are 3-4 seasons from the current comic timeline, and when they get there, there will be another couple seasons worth of material built up.

The series premiered on Halloween 2010, less than 2 weeks after issue 78 was published. So they've really only caught up by 22 issues in 7 seasons. And probably two more issues will come out before the Season 8 premiere.

FTWD is horrible. I'm ashamed to still be watching. TWD peaked in S4 and there are certainly eps mixed in that are awful. But there is no comparison between shows. None.

I agree with you on Fear the Walking Dead being horrible. Initially i liked the show because it would give some context of how the outbreak started and i liked some of the characters. Now, i find myself hating pretty much all of the main characters except for the black dude Victor and would cheer the rest of them being eaten by zombies. The show has badly gone downhill as each season has gone by.

The Walking Dead probably has dragged on to long, but at least they have Negan and he alone is better than anything happening on Fear the Walking Dead. That said, even though i'll continue watching, i no longer look super forward to it being on as i once did.

Also, I did 13 Reason Why last week. Yea, that's some pretty heavy stuff. I thought overall well done but of course I could nitpick a few things. Probably worth a watch from anyone and just to remind people to stop being dicks to each other.

Did the premiere of Ozark last night and I'm sure I'll have it done quickly. Finished it and said "welp, yea they've gotten me on another one." Seems promising.

It's all subjective but I'll disagree. I thought the season premier of Fear was great this year but holy cow did it move at a snail's pace. I also don't really like/root for any of the characters outside of Madison (who herself has some annoyances to her character) and Travis

I just finished binging all of season one in three days. It was really, really good. Heard season two is even better.

I watched the first season or two of FTWD but I just don't care about any of the characters or the storylines anymore. I want to catch up on the latest season but my interest is so low that I don't think I will.

Oh man. Billions is fantastic. Season two is dynamite. You're in for a treat.
